DULUTH EAST: 1
ELK RIVER: 0
1st INT
SHOTS 11-1 EAST.

Complete domination by East. It seriously looks like an East vs Central game. Elk River has to be disgusted. Couldn't even complete a 5 foot pass, falling all over the ice, turnovers etc. I understand East is a top 5 team, but Elk River is also playing like a bottom 5 team.

yeah 2-0 go hounds...

... Did anyone catch what happened at the end of the period? What caused the (fight?). I turned on my sound for a second and heard "Tardy takes a big right hook" Whats up there?

A kid from ER took a slap shot way after the buzzer and so Forbort went at him and told him that he didnt like that. More guys converged and Tardy's right arm swing was easily seen.

Guy on TV just said that ER will be shorthanded from the after the period scrum. Seems odd to me I figured they would keep the penalties even.

They said that on the radio too. Odd.

Maybe we missed something away from the center of the action or something.

The only explanation I can think of is that they took Forbort, Tardy and one person from ER that each of them were scuffling with, and then gave the kid who shot the puck another 2 minutes...but I dont know. Hopefully they give an explanation

About 2-3 seconds after the buzzer Elk took a slapshot. Some East kids went over and then the Elk kids got chippy. Don't know if East got any penaktys but the board is showing #11 for Elk with a 2 min to start the third. Elk has 4 SOG haha
Go Hounds.

I just ate a piece of cake. Oh, does this feel good.

It great to see a textbook display of East hockey tonight. Utter domination (SOG 42-10) offensively, solid defense, and relentlessness. Three years of terrible pain have been avenged.

See ya in a week at the X, East.

Congrats east! Came ready to play, no doubt! #15, #17 showed they really wanted it bad and oh yeh...#27 too! Not saying the others didn't, those 3 just really stood out and showed determination. Good luck at state!

Also hats off to the freshman ER goalie. Played very well. Easily could have been 8 to 1. He kept them in it the first 2 periods and gave them a chance to win. It will be fun to watch him the next 3 years.
