I went to the Valentines day game. And watched the re-broadcast of the game. It was a 3 - 2 Cent win but it should have been a 5 - 1 win. I can't see Blaine beating them.

If coach E. Aus payed attention on how Osseo frustrated Blaine, Cent should win handily.
Tufte and Wagamon are back, it will be an entirely different game.

Great point. Tufte changes the dynamics of Bjugstad's line completely and Wagamon is probably Blaines 3rd best defenseman. Totally different team with them.

exactly Tufte, Bjugstad, and Scheid is a solid line. Tufte is a work horse in front of the net.

Thanks for doing my homework, much appreciated.

There must be a lot of heavy drinkers on this forum.

PP% too close to call

Blaine is just a better team? I already said 10-0. No argument.

Looks like I'm taking the under...

I've seen Blaine play Roseua and East this year and they looked great in both games.

However I've seen Centennial play as well and they were hot and cold for me.

I'll take Blaine in a class. 4-1 with Blaine pulling away in the 3rd.

even with wagamon back and a hot harper, the bengals arent good enough defensively to hold down the pitlick line.

also, the bengals are going to have to find a way to score some goals to keep up with centennial and after watching them put in two against a very average osseo goalie i think they will have trouble scoring on larson.(not that he's amazing)

I'll take cenntenial 5 to 1.

Totally different game when Tufte and Wagamon are in there.. Blaine should get the 3rd seed in state in my opinion. Hats off to Zac Frischmon on a spectacular section playoffs hat trick against Irondale, 2 BIG goals against osseo, and the Hat trick in the championship against Centennial.

Looked last night like the only thing holding the Pitlick line down was pitlick's lack of interest.

I did not see that coming! No way did I expect a repeat performace like last year. Although I am very disappointed the Cougars aren't going to St Paul, I will be down at the X in full Bengal gear. The hardest part about the Cougar loss was the look in my kid's faces. Congratulations to the better Aus team and we'll be cheering you on Thursday, Friday and Saturday! GO BENGALS!

What centennial did last night was a complete embarrassment. They embarrassed themselves, their fans, their community. You don’t lose 7-1 (6-1 last year) to your biggest rival in the biggest game of the year! Not saying they should’ve won, credit goes to Blaine, but it should’ve been competitive like the previous 2 games were.

There seemed like a total lack of interest by some players. You watched Stillwater and Hill in the next game and that was passion and energy.

There seems to be a total lack of leadership on the team. Is that coaching? I’m not sure.

Pitlick is a very talented player, but lacks that extra something that makes players great. He was nowhere last night. Great players rise in big games. He did not.

Compare him to Bjugstad who is an unbelievable talent and to me is the glue of the Blaine team. I can’t wait to watch him in the state tournament and for the Gophers in a few years.

I felt bad for players like Lovick who was Centennnial’s best player last night. He seems like a true leader and someone to rally around. He was inconsolable after the game. Can't wait to watch him next year.

The fans around me were saying the same thing, same s**t different year. Very frustrating for Cougar fans.

But good luck to the Bengals, I will be rooting hard for them even though I'm a Centennial fan.

There absolutly is no leadership on this team nor last years. Lovick will be a senior and I think he has what it takes to be a team leader next year. I also believe there is a coaching problem. I have brought it up before and I still believe it. It takes talent and coaching to be sucessful. Talent can only take you so far. The Bantams have been very very sucessful the past 10 or so years. Way more sucessful than Blaine's. Yet Blaine continues to find ways to make it to State at the high school level. Centennial obviously has the talent, so this leads me to believe it is coaching!!!

I was a bit disappointed as well the way the Cougars handled themselves after the loss. To take the Runner Up trophy/plaque and just drop it on the ice was classless and embarassing. When Centennial was handed the runner up medals, the Blaine players shook hands with the Centennial players as names were called. OK, so did Centennial, but I seen Coach E. Aus have to tell his players to do the same as the Blaine players were called. They shouldn't have to be told to do that. Also, the only emotion that I witnessed from the Cougars was bitterness. I didn't see a single tear. I think every championship game I have ever witnessed, Section or State, there are always players crying from the losing team. Crying doesn't make you a baby or a "girl". It shows your love/desire/dedication/heart/appreciation (I could keep going) for the game that you just lost and ended you season or career. I did when my high school football career was over and I wasn't even a starter. I knew that was the last time I was ever going to be taking off the pads. Maybe there was and I didn't see it. But it seemed I just witnessed bitterness. To me, some of that falls back on coaching.

Centennial did accompish some great things this season! And I was proud to have witnessed some of them. They just haven't had what it takes to make it to State.

And again, congratulations to Blaine and good luck at State.

I thought that was classless also, dropping the trophy. After they came out of the locker room, quite a few players were crying and having a hard time. Pitlick came out and had a "eh whatever" look on his face.

I also think coaching is a problem, almost like they don't respect him. Who knows though.
But with the talent they have, the youth program, they should've gone to state more than once.
