Everyone is talking about Blaine's speed in the Bjugstad, Frischmon, Scheid line but we are all forgetting about how well Danny Harper has been lately in the crease.
Sure Blaine had a rough game against Osseo, but harper kept his boys in it giving up only 1 goal. He also kept an explosive Centennial team to just 1 goal.

Previous to those games he kept Maple Grove to 2 and shut out Andover. Harper has been hot as ever!

Sellnow can't stop the Blaine offense, three goals on 21 shots against a below 500 LN team last night? If that's results of his nerves before the game imagine how he'll feel going into a packed X and playing one of the top teams in the state. Blaine will eat up his juicy rebounds all game long...Blaine 7 Century 1.

Maybe Faupel can pump four G's in the first round again and Century will be able to pull of a stunning first round upset.....

Now I don't think that will happen, but wouldn't that be sweet. I think Blaine will win this one by a pair.

Every team has the potential for an upset in this tournament, which is why it is so exciting to watch every year!!

Funny how Arbour, Cooper and Mellin didn't play. People that take that game and say Century is good are high and don't understand hockey. Century has a good goalie but they have no goal scorers. I mean only 3 goals on a sophs first ever varsity game? Those 3 were garbage goals anyway. I think Blaine is just too strong and good for Century. Nice run, but Tigers 6 Decades 1

Blaine 7
Century 2

Blaine is way out of Century's league, the panthers don't stand a chance.

if you look at Century's non-conference schedule it is pretty good! So this game will be no different for them, and im not saying Century is going to win either but I dont think the score will be as bad as people think it will be, Century is not a bad team when they are healthy
and Blaine has all the pressure on them too because nobody is expecting anything out of Century so they cant really let anybody down

No. By using that game as a reason why Century is good is ridiculous. I'm sorry I didn't realize that having your best players out was a petty excuse. Ever hear of chemistry? Bottom line, sure they won, could they do it again? No, absolutly not. I was pointing out that they struggled to beat a sub heavy Hounds team. Blaine by 5, again.

No offense, I don't know if it is lucky to draw Blaine. That team has a talented crew.

I dont see that happening the way harper has been playing

The people that like to see upsets let that cloud their judgement. I am seeing many references to the Osseo game, but only a couple to last night's game. Blaine dismantled, I mean DISMANTLED a very strong Centennial squad(the one that most of you picked to win) last night. Running time for last almost 6 minutes! Only a Matt Jeffers/Karl Goerhing type effort can give Cebtury a chance

If Blaine plays like they did against Centennial theres no way Century will be able to play at the same level.

jeezz i love how nobody is even giving Century a chance. they have a good team they will compete with Blaine its just gonna be the fact if Sellnow will stay stong all 3 periods i believe they can pull the upset but it would have to be a hard earned grinded out win..

Even as one of the biggest Bengal homers on here I was still suprised to see Blaine tear apart the Cougars last night. The strong play of Frischmon gives them two very dangerous lines. Harper looks very calm and confident and already has experienced the pressure that comes with the state tournament. That should go a long way for him. I haven't seen Century play but I think the rankings sort of speak for themselves. If Blaine comes prepared this game shouldn't be close, however, these are high school kids and you never know.....

Blaine 5
