Pretty sad that this region is the least updated both here and on Mn Hockey site.

I think this is being played now. I am not even sure who Rochester Red is playing?

It is Rochester 2 Eagan 0 after 2 periods

If Rochester hangs on it is AV and Rochester to state. Two deserving teams, I am glad the dumb Sunday region format worked out for the East region at least for this year.

Agreed though while it does work out for the Region it continues to amaze me how infrequently D8 is represented in state.

Not sure I understand, Rochester or Eagan will go this year? There are 12 districts and 8 teams go to state each year, so getting one team out of a district to state is better than "average" right?

Alright, just checked the MN Hockey website and the AV game is posted, but not the Rochester game final. Anyone have it?

Am I understanding this right? Rochester has three teams heading to the state tournament, Bantam A, Lourdes (A), and Century (AA). Looks like they have something figured out down south.

Yeah, you understand that Rochester is a very large and populated area?

This Bantam team is loaded, but will feed parts to at least 3 of the 4 HS teams in the area. Hopefully their B1 program has done a good job developing players also.

What they have figured out is that it is pretty nice to be playing in Section 1A/AA. The Rochester BA team is very good, well coached and has a shot to win the whole thing up in TRF. In two more weeks this group gets split up. This will be their last run together. For a community the size of Rochester, I am surprised how quickly the talent level drops off. They wont be able to compete against the bigger metro and northern HS teams over the next 2-3 years when that talent gets divided among 3 HS teams -Mayo, Century and Lourdes. Not sure if any end up at JM??
