Cam Sellnow out of Century has been strong as of late. He's one of the reasons they made it to state. Let's see if he can handle the nerves in his first state tourney.Nostalgic Nerd wrote:Who are the best goaltenders going into the tourney?

Compared to the other goalies at state...Ford, Ankeny, Shaughnessy, Harper, and Cooper, Sellnow is at most average. The Rochester goalie to watch is Heimer for Lourdes. He played outstanding in sections, against better teams than his AA counterpart, and has some of the best technical form in the state...also just a Sophomore.gopherhockey21 wrote:Cam Sellnow out of Century has been strong as of late. hes given up 3 goals each game in the weakest of the sections. I dunno if I would consider that strong.gopherhockey21 wrote:Cam Sellnow out of Century has been strong as of late. But he has done what he needed to do to get the job done for his team.
Meanwhile, Matt Cooper of Duluth East, Danny Harper of Blaine, and Moorhead's goalie (name slips my mind sorry) have been exceptional as of late.
This is BEMIDJI STATE hockey.
Ford is playing outstanding right now. He has been impressive ever since the Eagles started using him more often later in the year. I think he is playing the best coming in.HShockey2180 wrote:Compared to the other goalies at state...Ford, Ankeny, Shaughnessy, Harper, and Cooper, Sellnow is at most average. Dan Harper from Blaine has been playing outstanding lately. Only giving up 4 goals throught the section tournament and only 2 at the Coliseum. He made some very big saves in the final against Centennial when the game was still close. I think the key to Blaine's success in the tournament will be the effort that Harper puts forth and the production of Bjugstad and Frischmon.
I get older they stay the same age, alright alright

Moorhead's goalie that was MVP of the Section 8 Tournament is Logan Marks.minnesotaice wrote:hes given up 3 goals each game in the weakest of the sections. I agree, I heard that he played stellar against the Wingers in the section finalHShockey2180 wrote:Compared to the other goalies at state...Ford, Ankeny, Shaughnessy, Harper, and Cooper, Sellnow is at most average. It would be fun to see him play against LF, but I suppose the territory advantage would be too lopsided.spectator101 wrote:Look at these playoff stats

Edina's Ankeny played great in the Section playoffs. He allowed one against Prior Lake, one against Holy Angels, and shutout Jefferson.Nostalgic Nerd wrote:It would be fun to see him play against LF, but I suppose the territory advantage would be too lopsided.spectator101 wrote:Look at these playoff stats

Seeing the Mahtomedi goalie go against LF, but because the latter would probably dominate in shots, you'd know the outcome.spectator101 wrote:i don't follow...?Nostalgic Nerd wrote:It would be fun to see him play against LF, but I suppose the territory advantage would be too lopsided.spectator101 wrote:Look at these playoff stats
