Little Falls.....UNDER-rated????
Here's your chance LF Flyer fans. Maybe after tonights game some opinions on here are changing......NO, you'll have to win it all and the haters will still pick on your "weak" schedule.

Little Falls is a very good hockey team who deserved the #1 seed. They do play a "weaker" schedule than some teams. However, they are a very good team and have a great shot at winning the whole thing.scarface wrote:What???? No LF critics out there now?? C'mon, lets hear both sides...I know there are some opinions out there
Now can we just put everything to rest on this topic and just comment on the games themselves?
like LF vs Breck....mikemodano09 wrote:Little Falls is a very good hockey team who deserved the #1 seed. They do play a "weaker" schedule than some teams. i think LF has a great team this year and should be given all the credit they deserve for having such a good team. weak schedule or not perfection is not easy to come by. like em or not there is no reason to hate on em for doing well. maybe there schedule has nothing to do with it maybe hanowski has a lot to do with it

Couple comments:
1. Based on who made it, I believe that despite their schedule, they got the correct seed.
2. I don't think there were many "LF haters" out there. Very few have said they aren't a talented club. Their schedule is the only knock on them.
a. Unfortunately (for proving themselves completely) they played a team they had already beaten.
b. Fortunately, though, they finally beat a decent team by more than a goal.
Best of luck to them. Tomorrow will be a great match up, offensively powerful team against defensively powerful team.

3rd actually....and I don't bad mouth any teams on here. Every team that made it deserves to be here, no matter their record. As far as LF being underrated, they're the #1 seed for a reason and showed it tonight.scarface wrote:Oh Ooohhh!!! The thread police are here. Second thread you've wanted to lock up, 1 on Hano and now this one...what gives. Oh, that's right, Hermantown is NOT in the tournament this year.sinbin006 wrote:Lock it up.
Sorry Sin, didn't see the third one until later and didn't feel it was worth the time to edit. As for badmouthing teams, you can read my other 160+ posts and then form an opinion on that subject. This thread was designed to give LF a few props and open the discussion with those that have given them no love the whole year. As for your team, just stating a fact. p.s. my team isn't here either as they lost in the section finals to the 1 seedsinbin006 wrote:3rd actually....and I don't bad mouth any teams on here. Hanowski looked good, LF as a team did not....not enough shots, giving up too many shots...i am going with Breck in the upset, they have played good teams this year...virginia played as poor of a game as you can....so not impressed with LF yet, the semi's is where they will start earning respect with victories...great showing by hanowski though...am glad he is going to be a husky!

SCC2009 Could not agree with you more. Ben looked good, not great. Not impressed with the rest of the team. They hit way to many pipes, didn't finish every check, and did not hustle the whole game (especially when they were up 6-0). Disgusting. I was also upset that even though their 3rd & 4th lines played good, they saw way to much ice. They (LF 3rd & 4th) had more scoring chances than Virginia so you know Virginia must have thrown out there 5th & 6th lines against them. As PuckRanger has told us, you just don't score on Virginia's 2nd-4th lines. It's not possible. And also why rest the first two lines?
I'm still not sure how they won. It must be than Ben played not just good but great, yeah that's it Ben played great. The rest of the team needs to show up.
I'm really glad you helped me figure things out.
Please give us more of your takes as clearly you saw things differently than most.
I do have to disagree with you on one thing, I do not like the Husky's.

Little Falls draws the hardest team to possibly face first round. A lot of people on these forums were picking Virginia not only as an upset, but as the tourney WINNER. They were very hyped coming into this tournament while everyone continued to rip on LF for not being a good team and being overrated. Then chumps like SCC2009 come in and say that the only reason LF won is because Virginia played poorly. Yeah lets not give any credit to Little Falls. God only knows if we gave credit to Little Falls for taking it to the Iron Range tough guys the world would end. No way we can recognize LF as a great team.
If LF loses the next game people will never say it's because LF played a poor game. It will be because LF is overrated.
If LF wins the next game, it will mean nothing, people still won't be impressed, Breck will have "played as poor of a game as you can" and people will continue to watch the tourney not giving credit to LF for their victory.
I love the way some of you people think. Stop being a bunch of sours. Just because your team wasn't undefeated doesn't mean you have to stop giving credit to the team that deserves it.
you are kidding right? Virginia was the toughest first round draw? i would say mahtomedi was for knockign off STA, beating Hill this year etc...there was nothing tough about virginia or their schedule...who did they beat? Grand Rapids..yeah..they had a great year lol lourdes was a tougher draw than virginia...virginia was slightly better than hutch.mnwild09 wrote:Man, I just DON'T get posters like this...SCC2009 wrote:Hanowski looked good, LF as a team did not....not enough shots, giving up too many shots...i am going with Breck in the upset, they have played good teams this year...virginia played as poor of a game as you can....so not impressed with LF yet, the semi's is where they will start earning respect with victories...great showing by hanowski though...am glad he is going to be a husky!

If they seeded the teams 1-8 my guess is that Virginia would have been 6. That being said, Virginia was a very respectable state tourney team and opponent. I would say and I think most people would agree that Virginia didn't play well but that was due in large part to Little Falls over-powering them then Virginia simply not being all that good.SCC2009 wrote:you are kidding right? SCC2009 Please do not stop posting, you are clearly the most intelligent person on this sight. I'm on board with you on the hutch/virginia comparison. Would Virginia even make it out of hutch's section? Let's just get rid of hockey on the range all together! Mahtomedi should have been the #1 overall seed cause they beat STA. Actually they should have made Mahtomedi play AA after they beat STA. Anyway, keep the posts coming brother, I'm going back to watching hockey and sniffing glue....SCC2009 wrote:you are kidding right?
