Why Are?
Third place games never televised? Anyone have any ideas as to why they don't air the 3rd place games?

Wow, great philosophy.
They won 3 post season games in a row, then lose one game and no one cares about them. They're still playing in the state tournament.
Yesterday when the Hill/EP game went into OT the announcer commented that was the first game this tournament to go into OT...the Mahtomedi/Hutchinson game just a couple hours earlier went into OT.
If no one cares about anything but the main bracket, it seems silly to even have the games. Why not be like most other sports and just have a main bracket?

Well, I kind of saw it coming after LF played their 1st line all game against Virginia and wasn't at all surprised that Breck won today by such a large margin but that isn't why I asked, I just thought it was a little, for lack of better terms, disrespectful, I think 3rd place and championship games should be aired for both classes.Ahockeyman wrote:Sounds like you are already expecting a LF loss tomorrow.

I'm going to start labeling all of my posts "joke" or "sarcasm" after everyone that might just confuse you.
Stay Classy, Minnesota.
Maybe at least the AA consolation bracket should be, with cut-ins of the A when possible. I think it's terrible the tournament is on a VHF channel you can't even get if you are staying in a hotel! I think more of the regular season could be successfully (for the advertisers) televised.Green and White Fan wrote:In the days of 1 class hockey, all games were televised and all games had great attendance. There were more people at consolation games than at most sessions of A hockey now and I am guessing the TV viewership was like that also.
