Cretin vs. Moorhead

Post by DemonHockey13 »

How do you guys think the two feel good stories of this years tourney will do when they faceoff tomorrow?

If Walsh can preform like he did tonight tomorrow watch for cretin to sneak by
I'm thinking a close one 2-1 CDH

Moorhead is better in my opinion they deserved their win over a great Edina team while I thought Cretin got pretty lucky tonight against East I'll say...

Moorhead's got some serious speed. Cretin wont be able to match up with them.
Ill take Moorhead 4-1

That will be worth staying up to watch. I'd hate to see the Nielsen ratings on this one.

My big fear is the Spuds will have a letdown after knocking off Edina. I hope they don't dwell on the win long at all and get focused on CDH right away tomorrow when they wake up.

Then, of course, if they happen to slip by CDH, I will just have to go curl up in a corner in anticipation of yet another possible state title game heartbreak.

I agree with pretty much all of your post cityspud. I was hoping for a Duluth East win, but now after that upset I will definitely be a Moorhead fan. That is the one thing they don't need; a hangover from their huge win tonight. Althought I see them as a better team than Cretin, I would not at all be surprised to see State Runner-up banner number 7 placed in the rafters at the SportCenter... Who knows though, maybe another upset is in the cards?

Moorhead will play like DE did against CDH only their goalie will make a few stops if needed. Moorhead 4-1. CDH over DE only upset of the tournament so far based on play not seed, it wont happen tomorrow.

If Moorhead plays another game like tonight I like them by 2 or 3. Only question I have is where was this Spuds team during the season?

So long as the Spuds' goalie is on, I think they are very capable of winning this one.

Anyone want to loan me some blaze orange?

Moorhead by a long shot, unless Cretin's goalie can pull back to back games of his life. Moorhead actually was the better team playing Edina. Cretin just got lucky against East. To have 5 of 15 shots on net go in? The stars will once again have to align for the goalie and get lucky shots on net to pull this off two nights in a row.

Since the line changes after the long losing streak, they have yet to lose...

Moorhead outplayed a very good hockey club last night... outhustled, put body on body going back up ice, made the snipes when they had to... great game Moorhead...

Cretin did not outplay DE... I felt for the East goalie, 3 goals on 7 shots, 4 goals on 9 shots...

Moorhead beat Edina... East lost the game to Cretin...

Well, Cretin got out played. I can't say the same about the spuds. They were impressive.

Spuds 4, Cretin 2.

Though, I've been completely wrong so far, so what do I know. :?

I don't think he was very impressive. The 2 goals he did let in were rather weak.

Boy, look at all the people jumping on the train now! What would the 'Great One' say about all this?

Seriously though, we saw 2 improbable upsets last night. Since the Spuds now seem to be the favorite in tonight's game by most, that scares me the most. They need to forget about last night and get focused on Cretin today or they'll be playing for 3rd place tomorrow night.

Moorhead is on there way to the championship game. CDH is tough but so was Edina. if moorhead comes out with same piss an vinegar their is no team that can stop them, Logan Marks is playing amazing right now and with Alex back in the line up its time to Raid the raiders of the hope an pride.

Moorhead-4
CDH-1
