They beat both Jefferson and Rogers they also went to OT with East their main problem was consistency and they struggled in district play lost 7-1 and 8-1 to Mpls/Park lost to Wayzata 6-0 twice lost to Hopkins 6-0 north metro 4-1 and 3-2 and to OMG twice. They really needed to play some of those big tournament games during district play.

Rogers-4
Mpls/Park-1

Rogers scored 3 goals on 1st 4 shots. Once Mpls/Park woke up it was a good back and forth game. Should be two great games tomorrow as well.
Mpls/Park vs Centennial for 3rd and Jefferson vs Rogers for the championship

Apple Valley beat Rosemount 7-1 yesterday. They play Eagan today, I think they might be playing now.

Do the top two from that region go to Evelth, or just the winner?

I believe only the winner from all districts advance and the host is also in. That's my understanding not 100% sure on that.

Great Game Tartan tied it with the only goal in the third period with 22 seconds left after finally being able to pull the goaltender with about 30 seconds left. Both teams killed penalties in the OT which went scoreless. In the shootout 5 shooters each team 1 goal to WBL.

WBL will represent D4 well!

Apple Valley 4 (2 OT)
Eagan 3
The refs were terrible. There was three hits that should have been called checking from behind or a board. One player on AV was taken off in a stretcher from one of these hits, and another player on AV didn't play the rest of the game after he got hit. These refs should not be able to ref another game.

AV decides to forefit the championship game because they are down 3 players and don't want to risk anyone else getting hurt for state next week. So I think Eagan gets to play lakeville south tonight.
really?

A.V. forfeited tonight's game. Lakeville South goes to Eveleth.

The ref in question during this game is one of the WORST refs I have ever seen we had him during the PWA districts in Hastings and he did the same thing(had zero control of the game and could not keep up with the speed) player in our game got runned from behind got injured and guess what NO PENALTY. We called D8 to let them know about this ref (Tom J.) and I guess they don't care about player safety. I hope #17 is alright didn't look good though.

Eagan vs refs

Post by bobforhockey »

hate to go down this road, but Eagan knocked two of Rochester's kids out in the last two minutes of the Regional Final last Sunday.

Refs need to warn the benches with 2 min left that the game is going to finish clean or they will end the game right there. Need to put an end to contact above the shoulders.

I went to the game today to check out AV and just to set the record straight the refs were terrible and did miss several serious calls. I would disagree with the previous comment assuming anything about the Eagan team. Looked liked a good bunch off hard working boys trying to win a chance to move on. Ref's just needed to make the right calls early.
