My understanding was he had possession of the puck, which would allow him to cross the blue line ahead of the puck. He took possession of it before crossing over the line. Any refs on here willing to clarify?City of Compton wrote:I'm curious about this play myself. I was at the game and didn't get to see a replay. Well one on the jumbo tron, but he looked way off sides to me. Will anyone 2nd this statement?SPUDNUT wrote:I thought that too, but they ran a slo-mo on it later & he had 1 foot on the line when the puck crossed.
No biased guesses from Elk River fans, please

It wasn't just you. When Cretin scored, their student section and a few parents cheered. When Moorhead scored, everyone, except the few Cretinites cheered. Way to go Spuds. Blaine will blast the Raiders today. They're not even in the same category. Alt looked terrible.espnmobile8 wrote:Was it just me or did it seem like almost everyone in the Ex wanted Moorhead to win?

Can't get there, but will gladly let you borrow my camera so you can show it to the Elks (whom I notice are at home watching the whole thing on TV) !EREmpireStrikesBack wrote:Check your homer status at the door Spud.
The only part that wasn't in the offensive zone was his stick blade that drug the puck in.
Also, don't forget to bring your camera tomorrow. The Spuds will look good with the red medals around their necks.

Not sure what game you were watching. Alt was, IMO, the best player on the ice. Moorhead knows how to play though, I was so impressed by this team, they played sloppy but still kept to their systems. The Spuds are among the most well-disciplined, well-coached teams I've seen in awhile. I'd love to see them slay EP.northern visitor wrote:It wasn't just you. I didn't think it looked like the right play either. But I still think ER looks better with the glasses!hockeyjoc251 wrote:sorry to say but that isnt even the right play you're looking at...number 21 for the raiders was not on the ice for the second goalicedad wrote:Not offsides

It's clearly not the same play, that Moorhead player wasn't even the right one. Also, in the play, the Moorhead player was not pressured as he crossed the blue line, and caught the pass on his backhand behind his back.CitiesSpudsGuy wrote:I didn't think it looked like the right play either. I think Cretin being a private school that recruits is a reason. A dang good one, too.DemonHockey13 wrote:Well everyone hates cretin for no reason so its not a surpise that everyone woulod cheer against them...northern visitor wrote:It wasn't just you. Yeah, I agree. I would have left Minnesota if Cretin won it this year.newSPUDfan wrote:I think Cretin being a private school that recruits is a reason. This was called offsides..it was the play Lou was yelling at him for not passing...they show the replay and he was definitely onsides and they said nothing. It looked like an easy call live and easier w/ replay.HockeyHigh wrote:It's clearly not the same play, that Moorhead player wasn't even the right one. I believe they wanted Cretin to lose because they didn't deserve to beat DE and they didn't look much better against Moorhead. An EP/Cretin final would have been a disaster for any hockey fan..THAT's why they were rooting for Moorhead.DemonHockey13 wrote:Well everyone hates cretin for no reason so its not a surpise that everyone woulod cheer against them...northern visitor wrote:It wasn't just you.
