I'd think people would be happy these kids, or their families rather, pay for their own schooling. I just work with some republicans and they looooove their talk radio and they always gripe about public education costs. Politicians drive me crazy.
In last year's section final, the Hibbing students yelled "Daddy's Money."
The Marshall fans yelled back, "Mommy's Welfare."
Not very nice of the Marshall fans, but it was something I hadn't heard before.
If you want to hear some brutal responses to the "daddy's money"-type chants, I recommend East-Cloquet. Though the East fans have toned back a bit recently, some of the things that used to be yelled at Cloquet...wow.
Since when is it bad to have money?
and i;ve always loved the Pump are gas chant back to the daddys money

I liked this one too.
There was some quality back-and-forth tonight; much better than last year's. The 214/216 and friends got involved a little bit, but they were more sparse than the past few nights.
At tonights game Ep large group did the S.E.X score score score chant, I thought that was very funny. They also did MASH PATATOE when a Moorhead player got hit. But my favorite was when this small number of people tried to mess with Ep and say eagles swallow, and Ep replyed by saying suck a big one!
There were like 6 ep boys, they had squirt sweatshirts on, i dont know how old you are when your a squirt. Anyways they were on the upper deck to the right of the moorhead student section. The whole night they were chanting things like "Seasons over" and other things that would piss of moorhead and rub in the eagles were better. Then some of the kids in the moorhead student section started chanting "Want some candy" I found it kinda funny.

Is that what was going on there? I couldn't quite make it out. Funny.
I was also amused when EP asked the people yelling at them from across the ice who they were.

I thought it was great last night when Moorhead would chant something and then EP, six sections strong, would chant "We Can't Hear You!" They were verryyy loud. I thought Moorhead's chant, "How's the Nosebleed!" was also a good one.
Another funny one was when Moorhead got excited after they scored but then the goal was taken back a group of kids not in 216 but right up top behind Moorhead started chanting:

Haha thats great .. so a bunch of haters going in and dissing the teams that spanked them .. Do they pick sides or just go after everyone
those sections are either 206 or 216. they mostly go for public schools and always chant against private.
Yeah not so much this year, but I remember years 2002-2006 section 206/207 was very entertaining. Usually hating on private schools. I remember chants such as "God hates you" "Hoeffels Gay" "Daddy's money" "Private Pussies" "We want Moorhead" and the list goes on and on. It was usually the kids from Delano, Rockford, Monticello, and STMA. I remember many of them getting kicked out for throwing stuff and making fun of the employees working the section.

the real credit should go to 216 for thinking of that. but yea it was a funny and creative chant to hear.
I'm not sure about creative. I have heard that used a few times against Moorhead. Overall I think the tournament lacked creativity in chants. I'm not sure if it's the AD's keeping things somewhat civil or what. I know that was my problem in high school, always had to watch what you chanted or you got the door.
If ur winning and u know it clap your hands (clap clap )
if ur winning and u know it clap your hands( clap clap)
if ur winning and u know it and u really wanna show it clap your hands
I would have to say that the original "we want more head" cheer came from section 203 during the AA finals because we were sitting there and competing with the EP fans. we then used "EP blow me" to which they replied "who are you" which was really funny and caught us off guard. we fired back with "eagles swallow" and they countered with "suck a big one". shortly after this everyone in 203 except for a few people got kicked out for using "profanity". should have tossed the EP kids too if you ask me.
