teams in the coming years

If you were to narrow it down to three, which teams do you think have the best shot at a title within the next few years?

Eden Prairie is definitely on that list. Throw in Holy Angels and Hill-Murray for my guess.

Stretch it out to five years and I'll say Edina too. Roseau as well.

I'm sure this conversation is already happening but, take Leddy off the ice for EP and are they going to be the same team next year, I say no. Yes, they have an extremely special group of underclassman, but we're talking about taking the best player in the state and possibly the best high school aged American player in the country, off the blueline for half the game that's a HUGE drop to whoever is next in line. THis team will be fun to watch though for the next 2 years, I hope for the sake of the special story they can throw 2 more up.

Duluth East. The Bantam A team has like 3 losses so far and is beating teams such as Hermantown 18-3 and such.

Hermantown has always been pummeled at the Bantam level by Duluth East. Not sure this is the best basis for their next "title run" .

If we want to go by Bantam A teams, Wayzata, Apple Valley, Duluth East, Eagan, Lakeville South, and Rochester could be good depending on how those kids are splitting up for high school. Those would be some teams to watch in the next few years along with of course the very young Eden Prairie team. These teams could all be young next year but still competitive around the state and also will be only be better in about 2-3 years.

As for sticking around, Molennar should be smart enough to learn a good lesson from Nick Leddy. Molennar's partner from his successful bantam days left for "greener pastures". Today he is struggling in the USHL and his draft stock has dropped.

Molennar needs to pick up his timing and speed while playing D. Bjugstad went right around him and scored a timely goal for Blaine. That was 10th grader vs. 10th grader, both appear to be good sized kids.

Jefferso should be a team to watch out for.
Jeffersons junior class is very talented... Herbert, Faust, Pauluk, and knight, deitzler... if you put hebert deitzler and knight at forward, and faust and pauluk on the blue line this could be one of the top lines in the state next year.

Also Jeffersons sophmore class is very good, and had a very successful JV season this year.. going 14-4 in league play.

Throw Moorhead in the mix. They return their goaltender from the state tournament team and also have an outstanding freshman goalie. Their jv team was very good this year. They will be very strong for the next three years, despite losing a few very good seniors to graduation. Do not be surprised to see them back in contention for a state title in the next few years.

Well Mr. Zamman I would be delighted to hear you name the copious amounts of freshman AHA has on their varsity. Apparently AHA is the only school in Minn that does not need Bantam A's to develop their players. I know that at Duluth East, our kids play Bantams so that IN A FEW YEARS (per question being asked) they can get better.

I think Edina's jig is up. Even 5yrs out they won't have the shot they just had the last couple of yrs. Apple Valley will be loudly heard from in the next 3yrs. Shouldn't lose anyone to private at all and no one to Jrs/and or Mich for at least 2 yrs..

I'll never disown a fellow Pioneer. The reference was teams to watch. It was quite enjoyable to watch #1 seeded Tartan go down in the first round to #8 seeded Johnson. I will enjoy watching them in sections next year as they once again disappoint the "Tartan Nation".
