I was on youtube watchin some hockey fights and a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dpFdvCZ4OQ came up about Mike Peluso on the 95 Devils Stanley Cup team. WOW what a clip and talk about a real man showing his emotion on a childhood dream coming true. I can honestly say it gets to me watchin this, it doesnt matter how many times I watch it. THIS IS AWESOME! Not only from Greenway High School, but small town Pengilly MN some may say where the HE double left handed hockey sticks is that. Im just curious has there ever been anyone else like this in MN with the story line of his.

I was told a story about him a couple years ago at the MN State Hockey Tourn. from a couple guys. They said if someone really wanted to you could make a movie about this guy and it would be almost the equivalent of Miracle just not a team or country aspect. When Mike was in pee-wees or bantams he was a nothin at all and small. One day he and his team mates were in the locker room and he stood up and yelled at everyone and said, "Guys one day Im gonna make it to the NHL, and after that Im gonna win the Stanley Cup and bring it home" yet all of his team mates at the time were like ya ya whatever your nuts, your to small, keep dreamin like the rest of us. Yet in 1989 when the Chicago Blackhawks signed him he only played 2 games. He came home to see his family and all his buddys that summer. One guy asked Mike, so what you doin now that your done with school? Another guy said, dont you remember, Mike said, he was gonna play in the NHL, that same guy after sayin that asked Mike also what are you doin these days. Mike looked around called a bunch of the guys around went into the house and came out with a piece of paper. The guys were like what the heck is that piece of paper for, start a bon fire, a trick, a joke, Mike looked at the group of his friends and said nope.
I told you all I was going to make the NHL and Im on my way. It was his contract he signed with the Chicago Blackhawks. Yet to think 5-6 yrs later a kid from Pengilly MN would have his name etched into hockeys HOLY GRAIL, "LORDS STANLEY CUP" and yes all of his buddies and past team mates were there, you think they were gonna miss out on this. NO WAY IN HE L L, Mike wasnt gonna let no one miss this.
