Wayzata Love
I am impressed by Wayzata’s run in this tournament. The team has come together since the end of the season, players have found their roles, and team defense and timely scoring is finally showing itself at the right time.
The Wayzata forecheck is bone jarring and has opponents looking around more then playing the puck. The goaltending has been amazing and most importantly no second chances! Yes Tonka may have outshot the Trojans yesterday but they did not have any second chances as the pucks were vacuumed up and Tonka forwards were on their backs. The penalty kill is amazing. How many 5 on 3’s did they kill in the last 2 games?
I am sure this rematch from the Regional finals is going to be a good one! But don’t be surprised if the outcome is similar to regional final.
Wayzata 4 – Edina 3 in 2 overtimes (for good measure) Expect a fast high paced physical game.

Re: Wayzata Love
Unfortunately, I have to go with Edina for the Championship. After they absolutely dismantled EP, Wayzata better watch out. Edina has had close to 80 shots in the last two games, they have the scary fore check. Edina will be out for blood today to avenge the Regional loss. As long as Edina shuts down #7 Day, Wayzata doesn't stand a chance. But hey, we will see.BlueOxen wrote:I am impressed by Wayzata’s run in this tournament.
