I heard Rob has left the gopher program, does anyone know why? 2 great assistant coaches leave, does "The Don" have that large of ego that these coahces are leaving.

Where did you hear this?

If it's true, it makes some sense. Robb is a very busy business man and is very involved with his Goalcrease program.

I heard it from a person I work with who says he has an inside source and then an article was released later today in the startribune. Here is the link:

Just in case the Don and Robb are still looking, I'm willing to fly back from Hawaii to take the position.

Mainly to focus more time on his business and family. He had a lot of things to juggle and time demands were high. Taking a little off of his plate will help him.

This wasn't a case of clashing personalities with Lucia, etc.

I suppose the statement that people follow the money is true and that is what he did. It can't be anything else because that is probably the best jobs ever working for the gophers.

The Golden Gophers have hired Duluth Central Graduate and former University of Wisconsin-Superior goaltender Nate Ziemski as goaltender coach. Ziemski has worked the last two years at Stauber's Goalcrease in Blaine.

no pay as the Gophers coach played a factor... Also he is very busy with his business which seems to be doing VERY well.

Well, that didn't work out too well. The new goal coach(es) murdered Kangus!!! What happened to our goalie from last year? Then a midseason change at goalie coach, a glimmer of the old Kangus, but unfortunately we ran out of time. Was Stauber's leaving really the linch pin that sent Kangus out of control???
