One thing I found interesting looking into this matchup was the fact that UND is 0-5 at neutral sites. Since they will be playing UNH in UNH's own rink, it really isn't a neutral site though. Another thing I found interesting was that UNH has only scored 22 PPG this season and is giving up almost 3 goals a game. Not a typical UNH team, they really miss Kevin Regan.
If you get to watch the game on ESPN2 on saturday, keep an eye on #21 James van Riemsdyk. He's very good.

Re: UND vs NH
North Dakota is playing bad hockey right now. Couple that with the game being played at UNH's home rink and it's not good for the Sioux.Coonskin wrote:north dakota is coming off a rough final five performance, new hampshire is coming into the tournament after getting swept by boston college in their conference tourny. what are your thoughts on how this game is gonna go?
UND 1
UNH 3
The U invented swagger.

Wow, what a game. Left a bad taste in my mouth as a Sioux fan though. The Sioux switched the foward lines up a bit and it really helped the offense. They got 45 shots on goal. Eidsness' inexperience finally caught up to him down the stretch, he was really shaky again. vanRamsdyk was shut down, but Finley and Miller made other Wildcats look like NHLers. UNH is a good team, but UND is better and they flat out choked. Two goal lead...lets just sit back and run the clock out. It never works. One good thing to come out of this is that Sioux fans don't have to see Joe Finley wear the green and white anymore. Man he was brutal this afternoon. Ryan Duncan ended his career with a really good performance, his lined played well. As did Chris VandeVelde's line. Jason Gregoire is going to something else in a couple years. Despite losing Duncan and few others, the Sioux should be better next season (better than 8th in the Pairwise that is). They have a good class coming in next year that will include Minnesotans Joe Gleason and Danny Kristo (and maybe Mike Fink, Danny Mattson, and Michael Forney...again). Time to start ruting for Duluth, Bemidji, and Air Force! Go Beavers!!! You never know.
