They will probably finish in the bottom half of the big 9. Not sure if Grosso will return, but I can see him trying to break the all time winning record. As for top players it will be Sikkema(sp?), Heroff and o'reilly for the forwards. For the D I want to say Powers and Truex. Not 100% if it is too accurate, but from the few games I saw those were really the only ones getting ice time other than the seniors.

Than why the hell did you ask? Must be a JV kid from last year wanting to know if you will make the team?Rookie19 wrote:Mayo Jv was really good and have a couple of tranfers from austin.
I think they will better than they were this year.
Work hard this off-season and you might make it. And by the way- The JV team was not "really good" this year.
Mayo
Ouch babe!
Tough crowd kid, they'll eat you alive if they could.
You can tell they seasons over, alot short fuses.
Mayo should be better next year, Rochesters best team in 09-10!
You heard it here first.
Sorry! sounds more of a knock against all Roc. hockey next year in general.

Mayo will be down next year due to losing alot of seniors. The two transfers from Austin were there best players and from what I have heard they are pretty good and will fill holes that Mayo would have had. The JV only lost four games all season and two of them were from champlain park and Duluth East otherwise they beat every Other big 9 team besides Owatonna. Mayo lost both games to Owatonna but were very competitive with them. Now what this all tells you I guess we will have to wait and see. Mayo however will not be as strong as they were this year but who would be losing 12 seniors.

Goal Scoring
Mayo will be okay as long as their top lines can produce some goals. Almost all of the top forwards played JV this last year and terrorized the JV goalies.
Re: Goal Scoring
If most of the top players played JV and have no Varsity experience it is going to be a tough year for them. Regardless, because of how many SR they lost they will be doing good if they break .500 next year. Can't compare terrorizing JV goalies vs Varsity. Completely different pace of the game. Only time will tell.DallasStars10 wrote:Mayo will be okay as long as their top lines can produce some goals. Almost all of the top forwards played JV this last year and terrorized the JV goalies.
