Has anyone gone to see the tryouts?

What districts will have the best players this year?

Forwards?
Defensemen?
Goaltenders?

Elliott?

Help me out on residency requirements. If a player who lives in Saint Cloud (District 10) waives out to play in Sartell (District 5) do they tryout a) the District where they reside (in this case D10)? or b) the District where they have waived into (in this case District 5)?

Also, with regard to the Shattuck deal, how come some players who board there tryout in District 4; while other Shattuck players from the Twin Cities tryout in the District they reside in when they aren't living at Shattuck (example, Edina).

I think it "b" because the tryout districts are where the player played youth hockey, because the coach from Sartel would be recommending his player to their current district. I believe the same goes for high school players, it's all about where they played youth hockey.

Players are supposed to try out where theeir family residence is or where they attend school if boarded.

As we all know some things do not happen the way they should but most of the time it is becasue of people just making assumptions.
Sartell with D5 instead of going back to D10 because the coach recommends him because he was one of his players.

Hopefully, any thing that gets messed up is not messing it up for any individual player.

I am a hopeful kind of guy.

16's and 17's are all by what section the HS they played at is located - exception Develpment Camp go back to their original HS and are placed on the teams automatically (if I remember right that is how it works - it is a USA Hockey program after all, how would it look if one of theirs failed to make it back home).

How come some teams have 7 players from Edina and St.thomas?

I thought only 3 can be nominated from each association.

How many tryout for adv 15 team in each district?

Hockeyman, you should know who is on this team so don't be vague. How about the two Hopkins kids who have pumped themselves on these boards, Jimmy Kortum and Quale - did they make it?

I don't have a full roster all I know is the 3 district 3 Mpls/Park skaters made it and the district 3 goalie did not.

No skaters from Hopkins or North Metro made this team. So no Kortum or Quale.

Wow, that actually is very surprising that no Hopkins players made the team... It's all OMG, Wayzata, Armstrong, and high school players.

That's 3 players from Minneapolis-Park (St. Louis Park)

Hopkins doesn't have a lot, and maybe their better players are 93s and 95s, but Quale is a better goalie than either of the ones selected. Not even close.

Why didn't Quale make it then?

I think MN Hockey has a policy against selecting kids that pump themselves on these boards!

Gotta be why Jimmy Kortum didn't make it too! :P

I found these on the district websites. Some of the lists didn't include associations. I also woud have liked to see here each player is from.
