Obviously, the Blades will lead this group...followed by the LSS and whoever the "Team Formerly Known As The 95 Machine" call themselves now (does anyone know?). After that, you have teams like the Icemen, Edge, Legacy, Magicians/Mission, Flames, and Easton....

muckandgrind....Don't hold me to this, but I heard 95 Machine might now be named "Team Breakaway"

Just about the whole team left with the coaches to form another team, evidently called "Team Breakaway" (thanks Nobodyonya!)

Edge and Stealth over the icemen? Last year icemen beat Lake Superior almost everytime they had played them. Icemen beat the Edge last year in the Minnesota Made tournament. I believe you can't even compare the Stealth to the icemen when they got beat by over 10 in the championship game of the minnesota made tourney.

In the AAA Indepent Classic last year, Stealth took 2nd place behind the Machine and ahead of the Blades (was this the 95 or 96 team?), so they do belong in the discussion. I know the Edge did a little tinkering with their roster for this summer and could be improved as well. We'll see how these rankings look after the Meltdown and Warrior Cup are over.....But I agree, I would rank the Icemen somewhere in the 2-4 area right now.

Does 95 RBK belong in that group as well?

Yes the Stealth took 2nd in the AAA Independent Classic last year, but they beat the Stealth to go to it. Then in the championship the Machine beat them by at least 10 i believe it was. The icemen played them the night before and lost to the machine by 1 and i don't remember if it was in ot. It was the 96 Blades in the tournament. The '95s were in the prospects.

From what I understand the Acceleration/CCM team was a young 95 team last year and landed a few Bantam A players from the Western Suburbs. They also have a very strong forward from the Maple Grove Pee Wee A team that I don't believe played for them last year. This may be a team on the rise.

Not for profit, mostly south metro players, but some teams rosters go beyond the metro. The 99' team is one of the stronger teams for that group. Most of the teams get training time at H.D.C. in Lakeville as well as full ice.

No 95 Easton Stealth this year.

There will be Easton Synergy. Stealth was more Southern Metro kids and Synergy was more Northern Surburbs kids.

They are a decent 'open' team, but would have a hard time competing in the invite level tournaments.

The 95 snipers are going to have a very strong team this year. They have many strong hopkins players, a good player from the state runner up rochester red team, and a player fom mound westonka who can fly

The 95 Edge are not even in the Top 20. They are very weak.

Well, you're wrong. The 95 Edge is a good team. Maybe you are confusing them with the Northern Edge Nationals. They won the Easton Cup and Border Battle last summer and their record speaks for itself.

They are EASILY a top 10 team.

Is there a 95 Machine team this summer? I know that Breakaway is basically the Machine team from last summer, but I wasn't aware of a new team. Breakaway is in the Meltdown, but not the 95 Machine.

I have seen most of the 1995 teams throughout the years. I don't believe that sunglasses knows what he is talking about with the list of 10 teams. First of all the easton teams will only have one team this year and looks like that team will be very weak. The icemen should be higher on the list, they played a great game against the 95 machine last summer. The edge team is ranked too high, this is the old vipers team pretty much that would beat up the showcase league. Magicians should not be on the list, unless they dramatically changed, they would take machine kids to play with them in open tournaments. Is the christian brothers team now cyclone/legacy? They were pretty good and I would rank them above the easton teams. Acceleration team has been pretty weak, wouldn't have them on this list.
