Nodak sioux -mayo defense will be really good, if Mayo can score some goals, they will be top of big nine.

Rookie19- lets see here, Mayo wont have one kid that score next year! 2nd like goldfish said their D was weak this year and if the jv kids are going to come up they will just get walked around and they wont have a goalie to save the puck either so.... it doesnt look good for the mayo spartans in 09-10.

we all know you were on mayos jv team this year and you think your going to do something next year when really it will take a miracle for mayo to come close to winning the big 9 next year!

Mankato East 2005/2006 was 5-7-1 7th in the Big Nine. If they went to
state must of been in a week region. East has not finished higher than 5th in the big nine going back to 2001-2002. They will Join Austin and Mayo
in the bottom end again.

05-06 East team had several key injuries throughout the season that held them back. Once they got everyone on the ice together at the end of the season they jelled just in time for the sections. Their section included Austin (4th in the big9) and Albert Lea (5th in the big9). Not as tough as the current 1A,but no cakewalk either. They lost a barnburner at state to 15th ranked Little Falls 6-5 and 2-0 to 4th ranked Blake. The 03-04 East team lost in ot to Owatonna, tied Mayo and tied West. If they had won those 3 games that team would have finished 2nd in the big9. With the loss of a significant number of key seniors on other teams and East returning most of their team they could leap frog at least several places in the big9 next season. The keys will be the improvement of their tenders and finding 2 sets of D that can work together. Their forward lines will be pretty good.
