USA U-18 National Team in Town

Post by clendosauce2011 »

For any of you hockey fans out there looking to catch some great action, the USA U-18 team takes on Sweden monday night at 7 30 at Ridder arena. This is a chance to catch some of the games future stars, as both teams feature great talent and promising young stars. Should be plenty of first rounders on the ice for both squads...

I have heard that Sweden has potentially 6 first rounders on the team. Any truth to this?

I went to USA's exhibition game last night against germany, and walked away very impressed...talk about a high skill level. Unfortunately germany was a rather weak opponent, which pretty much allowed the US squad to do whatever they pleased...but this matchup against Sweden should be a real barn burner. Just took a quick glance at the Central Scouting List, and looks like Sweden could potentially have 5 first rounders on their squad. Look for the underager Adam Clendening to lead the way on the US blue line, with Jack Campbell standing tall between the pipes.

Yes, the swedes do have a potential 6 first rounders in Magnus-Paararvi, Erixon, Josefson, Lander, Ekman-Larson, and the goalie.

Some good action at Ridder today with finland battling canada. Both teams are incredibly skilled which made for some world class hockey. THis is a great opportunity to watch some of the best high school aged players in the world

I believe Nick Mattson is the only Minnesotan on the US team.
