Congrats to the 98 Icemen. Nice to see some good new legitimate local competition for the perennial powers-that-be.gotothenet17 wrote:4 to 0 icemen over bladesHITUHARD wrote:How did the game go with the 98 Blades & the Icemen??I think it was Monday night.
Icemen victory would also seem to contradict the Alliance claims that it was formed to prevent the "watered down local teams" from dragging down the quality of play in various tournaments. Rather, it would seem to support the claims of others that the Alliance was formed to punish players who moved to other teams.

The jury must still be out....Where did the Judge go? Change screen names? Writing a new story? Come J&J, Man Up.hiptzech wrote:J&J,
Here is my issue...I sit back and read so many posts about people trashing other people and businesses...You laid out you concern/complaint with your very first post on this thread...You set it up, got the thread going, then you turn the thread into a bunch of trash, ultimatley getting to the root of the matter. However, along the way you took it to the sewer and started stating mis-truths....You ultimately trashed the thread and your integrity, that is unfortunate as it takes the focus off your point and puts people in a place of viewing you as a whinner....That is the simple fact and my obsveration.
You keep asking this board, why or how can the organizers of these tourney do what they do....People are left with making their points but you don't want to hear them. If you don't want to hear the answer don't ask the question...
I would rather see your next post explaining how you handled the situation with your kid...It is about the kid, isn't it? Let us all learn from you by telling the story of the disapointment that you and your kid faced and how you handled it with him....
Furthermore, if you think you are going to step into the elite levels of youth sports and expect sunshine you are not prepared to do so...You have to expect crap like this going on whether you are in an association, club or any other program. You have to be ready to experience the short bench, you have to be ready to experience injustice and under handed behavior. Youth sports are like any other group of people in our society...It wasn't your choice nor your kids choice to be going down this path, it is your choice of how you handle it....It appears to me that you are making poor choices on how to handle it....
Let me answer your question....Why or How can they do this. Because they can...If you don't like it get out of line, there are 20 more people standing behing you to cut the check....It is not fair, but it is what you are dealing with at this moment....
You have said, let it die. It was about to die until the truth came out. I do commend you for at the very least coming on the board and setting the record straight on the true story. Now impress the rest of us and finish the task..You will not win this battle on this board. Change direction and try to regain integrity...
Enjoy the game and look at the smile on your kids face when he is playing the game...
Word is that Judge and Jury's ( Newell ) kid was kicked off of the MN/Wis / Jr Badgers team. Reason being that the Mn/Wis teams leadership felt he was hurting the relationship with other AAA orgaizations around the metro. So they gave him the boot.
Here is a case where the dad has really hurt his son's oportunities. "Thanks dad now get off my side"

Where did you come up with the screen name? Sounds to me like we are dealing with a Hung Jury, or possibly a Hanging Judge. Can’t be either one of these as evidenced by, Your Honor, the fact that you have not come back on the board to defend yourself. Clinical and scientific evidence have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that to be hung or hanging you need to have balls of which the results of our independent study have shown you have none.
You have been sited by this court to be in contempt, given false testimony (perjury) and have abused any attorney/client privileges.
Your punishment: You are disbarred, until you are able to conduct yourself in a gentlemanly like manner.
Let this be a less to all. Be careful of what you say on these boards as they come back to haunt you. If what manchild is saying is true, this is a very unfortunate situation that I would never want to be in the middle of.
I would be interested in hearing from J&J on how he is dealing with this, I just don’t know if I would believe you if you did…
Not surprising...muckandgrind wrote:You can't be serious....are you??manchild wrote:Word is that Judge and Jury's ( Newell ) kid was kicked off of the MN/Wis / Jr Badgers team. Really? Wow. I've defended him in the past, when he was logging in as DuckDuckQuackQuack...as a matter of fact, my first post ever was me defending him....wierd.buttend wrote:Not surprising...muckandgrind wrote:You can't be serious....are you??manchild wrote:Word is that Judge and Jury's ( Newell ) kid was kicked off of the MN/Wis / Jr Badgers team. Now that the first Alliance offering is in the books, is it helping hockey or hurting it?
I don't necessarily think the Alliance is "hurting" summer hockey, in fact, by doing this, I think they are unintentionally helping summer hockey. The result is two more tournaments: The Warrior Cup and the Icemen Tournament. Both of which could very well compete with the Meltdown and start drawing the better teams away from it. I think that Showcase Hockey is shooting themselves in the foot BIG time and will one day soon regret what they have done. So, IMO, they aren't hurting summer hockey, they are just hurting themselves.
Sorry to go back to Alliance Teams but here is the rundown of the records of the Alliance Teams that played in the Invite this weekend
2000's
Machine 5-0
Synergy 1-3
1999's
Machine 5-0
Synergy 3-2
Stealth 1-3
1998's
Machine 5-0
Synergy 1-3
Stealth 2-3
1997's
Machine 4-0-1
Synergy 2-1-2
Stealth 1-3
1996's
Machine 5-0
Synergy 0-4
After the first big weekend, will this help (or hurt) to attract the top out of town teams?

It was more a direction from BMcBee, he said these kids __________. _______, cannot play in his tournament. It had much more to do with his history with the familiy, and not with the Alliance. This is not uncommon for BMcBee to ban certain people from his arena.
