Re: 2009 Minnesota Independent AAA Hockey Classic
We were told a few teams dropped out so schedules were going to be out a bit late. Should be soon from what I understand.Sk8 Str8 wrote:Anyone have a schedule or list of teams participating?

At the 99' level why is a extremely talented local team using the name Attack? Wagering on this team to win is at its cheapest price right now...odds will go up. New jerseys perhaps? Even a home and away!!!
Wasn't this team name used last year in the I-Cup 98' level as well?

Thunder Bay is not as strong as people believe them to be. Their teams this year are not as strong as they have been in the past because many players from small communities that usually play in Thunder Bay have gone elsewhere to playhockeydad30 wrote:Should be some good games at the 98 level. Thunder Bay has only one out of town player and essentially the same roster they had last year. None have gone elsewhere to play.hockeymama323 wrote:Thunder Bay is not as strong as people believe them to be. That maybe so for one team but the rosters for the other divisions have changed.thunderwolf wrote:Thunder Bay has only one out of town player and essentially the same roster they had last year. when i was looking at the schedule for the tournament I came across the 2009 Team Easton flyer - just curious if anyone knows what is meant by 6 League games? What league? Who is in the league and what are the current standings? MN doesn't have Tier 1 AAA so not sure what this is saying? What teams were announced on October 15? - can anyone familiar with the program clarify what they are advertising? Thanks in advance.

Easton AAA Hockey Program - 2009
• Six League Games vs. Tier 1 teams - 1.25 hour games. **
** Exact teams to be announced by October 15th

Wolf, you can't compare apples to ORANGEs. I think the 98' Attack team was icemen/machine/blades throw together. This one may not need whiteout on the roster.

That team might have been the Mix? Combo of Deuce, Icemen, Miracle and Wings? Some called them the Sticker Kids because they all had their AAA team stickers on their helmets.

There was no 98'Attack team listed for the International cup at the 98 level, check out the link for yourself.I think the 98' Attack team was icemen/machine/blades throw together. This one may not need whiteout on the roster.

Don't really think you would get those 3 teams to play on one together, maybe 2 of the 3 but..........
Didn't see Thunder Bay listed in the invite's...........if you're in the open, you should have it pretty easy with the Showcase teams.
It will be interesting to see how the 2000 blades do in the 99 invite. Seems like a curious move given they haven't won a tournament at the 2000 level yet. The oran... I mean attack should be a tough match up,
Perhaps winning a tournament in their 1st few weeks together isn't the most important part of their mission.

Nope, the Mix only played in the Easton Cup because they(Showcase) were one team short for their Tournament and asked us to fill the spot. That team might have been the Mix? Combo of Deuce, Icemen, Miracle and Wings? Some called them the Sticker Kids because they all had their AAA team stickers on their helmets.

98 Open & Invite
Can anyone shed some light on why the 98 Open & Invite are non-checking in this tournament? Wasn't the Meltdown & Stars & Strips checking at the 98 level?

Re: 98 Open & Invite
From what I understand, the 98's don't start checking until after July 1st because they are still technically squirts before then.....someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that.ThePuckStopsHere wrote:Can anyone shed some light on why the 98 Open & Invite are non-checking in this tournament?
