Subway (5), Perkins (2)
Subway advanced to the semis finals with a 5-2 win over Perkins on Tuesday night. Jay Xu (Hayward) scored two goals and added an assist for Hayward. Garret Skrbich (Hermantown) scored the game winning goal and added two helpers for Subway. Goalkeeper Max Elstad was outstanding for Subway stopping 28 of 30 in the win. Garrett D’Aigle (Cambridge-Isanti) had two assists for Perkins.

A.G. O’Brien Plumbing & Heating (9), Skyline Party & Game Zone (6)
Josh Wentz (Duluth Denfeld) had a game for the ages Tuesday for A.G. O’Brien as he scored a league high five goals and added two assists in a 9-6 win over Skyline. The seven points in a game is also an all time league record. Richie Brown (Cambridge-Isanti) and David Grannis (Duluth Marshall) each had a goal and an assist for the victors. Matt Bauer (Duluth Marshall) had two goals and an assist for Skyline.

On Thursday night Hockeyhelper.com came out flying as Joe Bianchet (Duluth Central) scored in the first followed by an Ian Ecklund (Proctor) goal early in the second to give the seven seed a 2-0 lead. That woke up the number two seed Stewart’s as they scored three quick goals and they never looked back to win it 7-3. Both T.J. Belisle (St. Francis) and Joey Benik (St. Francis) lit the lamp twice and added an assist for the victors. A. J. Merritt (Grand Rapids) had two assists for Stewart’s. Andy Benik (St. Francis) had a nice game in nets for Stewart’s stopping 13 of 14 in his half of play. He picked up the win in relief.

Blackwoods (11) Stauber Sports (5)
Blackwoods exploded for six goals in the first period on way to a solid 11-5 win over Stauber Sports on Thursday night. Jason Johnson (Duluth Denfeld) had a great game with a hat-trick and two assists for Blackwoods. Trever Forland (Princeton) also had a hat-trick and an assist for the winners. Brett Bukowski (Superior) chipped in with a goal and three helpers. Jake Bushey (Duluth Marshall) and Nick Marcella (Eveleth) each had a goal and an assist for Stauber Sports.
