I dont have kids playing for the Blades or Machine. I dont mean to hurt anyone's feelings. The puckstopshere you must have a child in one of the other programs given your reaction. You make the point that I was getting at is that in Minnesota you have the Machine and Blades in one category. Then you have the LSS, Icemen (both very good programs), and teams like that in the next, and so forth and so on. The question is, at what level do you believe teams are AAA in Minnesota and at what point are they AA, and what is the dividing line. Thats all I was asking, and I didnt mean to upset anyone.

I have a gut feeling I see alot more hockey than you, but if you need to feel like your son is on one of the only "TRUE AAA TEAMS IN MINNESOTA", run with it what ever makes your trigger trip.

Based on your posts puckstops here, I doubt it. You clearly have your own issues given your animosity toward two very good programs. Take your face off the glass and enjoy the game instead of worrying about who he is playing for. Get over it. My kids dont play on the Machine or Blades, they're not good enough. I'm "man" enough to say that. However, I doubt you are. So keep pokin fun if you feel like it. Take a deep breath and relax because its just a game.

I have to agree with the assertion that the only true AAA teams right now are the Blades and the Machine. The Icemen may be as they re-start their program. Several years back the Lighting, Metro Wings and the Icemen were all legitimate competition to the Blades or at least could play with them. I miss seeing those types of summer games. Now it seems as if most of the talent is playing with either the Blades or the Machine. Hopefully competitive AAA programs will develop in this state in the future so there is parity once again.hockeygirl2 wrote:Do you buy what you smoke or grow it yourself?![]()

Sorry I don't mean to make anyone mad. But what is the definition of a AAA team? Is there any other team out there that can consistently compete with the Honeybaked, Honda, etc. . . teams that are out there? If not, why are they called AAA? Why isn't it just the Blades and MAchine?
Sorry have to agree with hockeygirl too (I mean also) and hockeyguy27. ThePuckStopsHere may have to admit a hockey "girl" may actually understand a bit more about hockey and the levels of competition in AAA in MN than he does. Any team can call themselves AAA, but few truly are worthy of the label. It's still just a game though and there is an appropriate team for every player - that's the beauty of summer hockey in MN.

No need to apologize, I'm interested to see how you three would then label "if that is the correct term" all the summer hockey teams and programs? May be a good topic for a new thread.Doglover wrote:Sorry have to agree with hockeygirl too (I mean also) and hockeyguy27. You need to stop being so angry puck and settle down a little! I never said that summer hockey should be labeled a different way. I asked where the dividing line was between those claiming teams were AAA and AA. One person posted that "open teams are not AAA." Is that where the line should be drawn? Teams that enter the invite tournmanets are AAA and teams in the open are AA? There are teams that are really not that good that get into invite tournaments. Do you do it by tournaments won? Whether you beat certain teams?
I do think it is an interesting topic and maybe a new thread should be started for it. You simply accused me of having a son play for the Blades or Machine because I said they are both excellent programs. I don't have a son playing for either program. I think it is an interesting topic with no easy answer.
