Huh? Their are almost 80 kids that received scholarship offers to D1 schools that play in the NAHL just THIS YEAR ALONE (70 that are going directly from the NAHL to college and another 10 that started n the NAHL and then moved up to USHL). That is not as many as the USHL but that is ALOT. TO say USHL is the "only hope" is silly when the NAHL can post a number that large. And that is just D1, that doesn't even count the countless number of kids who go to D3 from the NAHL where they can continue to play a high level of hockey while getting their degrees.Lakeviewing wrote:NAHL sells hope- please go to college and be a member of society. Playing USHL is the only hope to play D1 hockey.CenterIce wrote:I've had junior coaches tell me that they take AAA MM kids over MN H.S. kids because it is just a lot easier to recruit from AAA. Many of the AAA MM kids are already living and/or playing away from home, and they don't care where they have to go to play juniors. When you ask them to move to Nebraska, or Michigan or Alaska, they just say O.K. Minnesota kids, on the other hand, tend to hold out for what they perceive to be the best locations to play and are not so quick to say yes to other offers.

Re: NAHL JOKE
It seems to me that the NAHL has made big improvements getting players further in the last couple of years. Would this be correct?

That is a very true statement.sideways wrote:It seems to me that the NAHL has made big improvements getting players further in the last couple of years. Would this be correct?
