Pretty amazing that there is only one player from all of New England (MA) and only one from Michigan. By itself, Hill Murray ties their total with two.

Minnesota - 5
Wisconsin - 3
California - 3
Alaska - 2
Colorado - 1
Ohio - 1
Montana - 1
Virginia - 1
North Carolina - 1
Massachusetts - 1
Michigan - 1

This is a very good representation of Minnesotans, not only the numbers but the talent level as well. 5 very good players on that list there.

"hill murray ties their total with 2"

- these boys have each spent about 120 days playing for hill and about 8/9 years playing for stillwater & roseville - give credit where credit is due.

HILL MURRAY TAKES ON NEW ENGLAND AND THE STATE OF MICH AND COMES UP EVEN . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . give me a break[/i]

Isn't this the 16's? Interesting list - expected to see Molenaar (have seen him play and have always thought he was an excellent dman) but a bit surprised with some of the others - especially given the other talented MN kids that were out there. Congrats to the MN kids though. Must have had a good showing in NY.

The U18 team will come out before too long, and expect the Minnesotans to do well there too. Bjugstad, Marshall, Isackson, and Benik supposedly all made the squad. Gothberg, Rau, and Holl also have a shot.

Or you can look at it this way: they were very smart to get that extra year of seasoning at HM and use it as a springboard to move to the national stage.
