Where does Torspo fit in the multi-team hierarchy?

Machine #1

Grinders #4
Torspo #5

Or do they do some balancing between teams? That's 75 skaters at any one level. Very few, to zero, associations can claim 75 skaters in a single birth year. Numbers 1-5 are quite different than 70-75 no matter how strong your pool. Sounds like growth to me.

Team Torspo,

Hi. Can you tell us a little bit about the coaches at each level? A short bio on each head coach would be helpful. Is Torspo intended to replace the Deuce program?

What is Torspo's philosophy? For example, do you roll the lines? Do you shorten the bench? Do you bring in outside players to play in tournaments during the season? How many hours of ice? How many tournaments? How many tournaments are in-town versus out-of-town? What is the cost of the program?

It would be nice if we could use this forum to comparatively shop the different AAA programs so that we all have a better understanding of all the programs that advertise their try outs on this forum.

In a nutshell, why is Team Torspo different than its competitors?

Why aren't you asking these questions of every AAA team that advertises tryouts on this forum? Why only the team from MM? In the last week or so Legacy, Skate to Excellence, Velocity, MN Jr North Stars have all advertised their tryouts at various levels. I have not seen you questions poised to those clubs. Are you not interested on getting your questions answered on this forum from them?

There is a whole forum for posting these tryouts. It should be used as intended. Possibly consider a whole AAA forum as well.

I agree Council member. However, given the fact posters and the forum's moderators ignore the other forum and the many admonitions against advertising try outs (and clinics and tournaments) on this forum, I thought I'd invite AAA programs to tell us why they are different from their competitors' programs.

Oh, by the way, Buttend, I did ask SKE the same questions I asked MM. Check the SKE thread. At the time I posted my questions, MM and SKE were the two most recent programs to post their try outs. The other programs are welcome to chime in, too. This is, after all, an equal opportunity forum.

As Muck and Grind said, buyers should do their homework. . . .

This is my personal opinion. Most AAA teams have there core and they are looking for somebody to help pay for there core. Which is great for the core but not for the the rest. It's not how good you are(unless just a stud which is a diamond in the ruff) but how can you help cut costs for the core.
I'm not negative just see what I see. If your in the inner circle Great if not it might suck for you and your child. All I can say is go where your child is having fun and appreciated for what they bring the table and not for what they don't. Just remember you are who you are and most likley thats who you will be. Sounds funny but it's true.

Observer has a great question--do we have an answer...company line or the real deal...we can decide.

We got all that. Thank you.

Are the players getting fees reduced, or equipment for free, or have the manufacturers convinced the organizers that it's just cool to have a manufacturer name in front of the team name. Is there some benefit to the organizers not shared with the team? I suppose financial support from a sponsor could, in theory, reduce some costs for an organizer which they use to keep fees stable across all teams.

I personally believe there should be a reasonable cost to the manufacturer as they are getting a lot in return in comparison to other marketing expenses they incur throughout the year.

I'll guess Compuware, Little Caesars, Belle Tire, Russell Stover, etc. spend significant dollars to attach their names to the clubs they sponsor. A big commitment as they sponsor a lot of teams for some of these organizations. Thank goodness they're around to support our sport. I just don't want local organizers to underestimate the value of the kids they're selling off to the sponsors for a measly few hundred dollars. $5000 per team sound like a reasonable expense to the sponsor?

If this is true, I wonder what Bernie's plans are then. I would guess he
would want to sell more ice by adding more teams. This line-up is
actually less hours if I read it right.

Why? Because the questions asked are true of the program? Seemed like good questions to me.

Iceguy2,

Nice attempt to stir the pot, but I actually like Minnesota Made. The Made offers some good programs that have benefited my kid. Have you ever heard of performing due diligence before making an investment, especially one that involves your kid?
