what a joke Elite II is. The southwest D are all bad, and with the exception of a few forwards, the rest of them suck too. Elite II should become a league that is not affiliated with Elite I.

Hey russian, Elite 1 nor Elite 2 ever claimed that all the players were nor are the BEST. It is just another place for High School kids that want to play some Fall hockey to play.

It's organized, refs, ice, jerseys and a couple of coaches (heck some even know what they are doing!). Where do you play that has a better alternative?

Now put your head back down on the desk so your teacher can pass out the milk and cookies to the rest of the kids.

I am just glad people admit that this league is not played at a very high caliber level, that is all

I don't think people are saying that it is not high caliber...they are saying that neither league claims to get all the best players.

The good news is that Elite league does their best to get some of the top talent and Elite II helps provide a place for younger players as well as a few that may have been missed by Elite league. Nothing wrong with that.

Hopefully both leagues will continue to work on their selection process to make it better but I agree with youngblood that it's great to have a place for H.S. kids to play some competitive hockey before the season.

What a joke.......This league DOES have some pretty good competition. These teams have to chose from whoever shows up for tryouts and with the economy this year, I would think some skipped it for financial reasons. Sounds like maybe you tried out, but they passed on you. That could be why you seem to think the D are all garbage.

Like I said earlier, Nick Leddy played for the West Metro team his sophomore year. I know there are other college hockey players that played in that league at one point as well. Nobody is saying it has the best players in the state, but it is a good place to play and prepare for the upcoming HS season.
