Checkerboard - am confused...

On the H.S. board you mentioned that Joe is the new H.S. coach at Prior Lake , added that Todd Kennedy and Kevin Ingvalson are the asst's , also mentioned that Joe was previous A PeeWee coach and Dir. of Player Developement and that he heads up Mn Magicians and Exceed Hockey...

What kind of response you looking for???

Joe and I believe Scott Meyer is involved with Magicians and Exceed , new
AAA program with teams (and practice players) at all levels. Good hockey guys...

Wondering if anyone has any info on how the magicians did? How they like the program? Etc. Not so difficult to figure out!!

Further more What does it take to become a High school coach? If you coach a Peewee team are you ready to coach high school. I heard that Joe flunked out of the UofM. Is this the right person to coach high school kids?

You stated "Joe and I," who are u? Do you believe or know?

what does graduating from college have to do with coaching high school kids?

I would bet some of there parents didn't even go to college. Try a different rip.

Joe was an accomplished hockey player which is what he is coaching in a pretty weak program. Prior Lake should be thrilled.

Checkerboard,

Pankratz cut your kid off the Peewee A team last year? Why are you coming out throwing shots at the guy? Just one of those parents? PL should feel lucky for landing him. He has got that whole association heading in the right direction. BTW-Meyer is one of the owners of Exceed.

It appears Mr. Checkerboard applied for the job and it was tossed! Check facts before making untrue, non-sense statements. Grow up would be fitting here.

If you can't tell, you're on a tiny little island Checkerboard, I'm sure you know that, it's OK.

Quality coaches that truly care about the kids and program are hard to find; they have one. Good luck Joe, great for the program! Go Lakers

"Joe , and I believe ...". My bad , however - if you look you will find a certain Scott Meyer listed..So while Scott Meyer may have nothing to do with Prior Lake, this is a business they co-op in....You posted to find out about the Magicians and Exceed right?
www.exceedgoals.com/page/show/55767-exceed-hockey-staff
www.minnesotamagicians.com/page/show/68269-staff
Scott operates the Exceed Camp in Stillwater , it appears Scott has branched off slightly starting another AAA team in SE Metro -
www.warrioraaa.com with links to Exceed and Magicians. Joe and Scott both worked for Minnesota Hockey Schools. Both have played at a high level as have most of the staff and are well connected to the hockey community and are hip to the latest training. The Exceed camp has been in existence a few years now and they branched off into the Magicians last summer. I do know kids that have done the Exceed day camp and they liked it , was it cheap - no. Parents said they would do again though. As far as Magicians , overrall they are a pretty good club at the open levels ... They are not the Blades or the Orange Guys - oops I better mention UnitedAAA....

Now since I was just trying to see what you were looking for, I asked . I made reference to your post on the HS board only because you sounded like you were in the know..

As far as flunking , who knows , maybe he left school to pursue a dream - I did.. Do I wish I could do over , you bet.. I think it makes me a better life coach to the kids - "Do what you do , you get what you get , you dont like what you getting , change what you do."

Last time I checked , you did not have to have a college degree or be a Teacher to coach MSHSL.

Apparently the Superintendent and School Board must have felt that he was qualified to coach hockey and that his philosophy was inline with them. He's there to teach the kids the game of hockey and I am certain some life lessons along the way and somewhere along the line turn the program around.

Thanks for the potshot , did you just move to P.L. from Edina (Rumors)?

You may call me Jules.
