Even though I like Cathedral, Delano may surprise some people this season. I'm a firm believer in being strong defensively and Delano I believe will be this season. Cathdral will still be tough, but I think this could be Delano's year. Time will tell!

I think the conference will be tighter this year than it has been for a while. With the exception of Waconia, its wide open. Cathedral is the favorite, but without Nate Schmidt they're not the same team as last year. Delano should have a strong offense with Heinonen and Mclain but they will be relying on a new goalie this year. I think Holy Family could be a contender as they are returning a lot of players from last year's young team - they are the real wild card.

Bottom line, my prediction is:

Cathedral
Holy Family
Delano
Mound
Litchfield
Orono
Waconia

I agree with you about Holy Family... They have depth this year but more importantly they have great goaltending in Matt Laprade! Defensively they are strong with Riesgraf, Wurm, and Jones but I think they will have a hard time scoring goals even though they have great team speed.

Delano intrigues me because of their toughness. They forecheck extremely hard and are probably the most physical team in the conference. They will deal people fits this season!

Cathedral is always tough! They move the puck better than anyone in the conference and always find a way to win. They are unselfish and they execute extremely well. Johnson does a great job getting his team prepared for each game and I expect he'll have them ready for another run this season.

I stand corrected - thanks. Thought he was a senior last year.
