Gold Status / Pledge Drive

EZBoard has granted this board temporary Gold Status for the fall to amend for some problems they had that affected our board earlier this summer. This means that the pop-ups and other ezboard ads are gone and Gold features such as sticky topics have returned. I know that nobody will miss the 'louder' ads as they have often been a topic of discussion over the past 5 years. I would like to keep the board at Gold Status indefinitely so that we can keep all of the Gold features. To that end, I am launching a pledge drive to try to raise enough money to keep Gold Status for the next year. Here's how it will work: We will need about $2000 to ensure that we have enough for two 6-month renewals, so $2000 will be our pledge goal. I want to limit the amount of anyone's pledge to $5 because we have so many members that if even a small fraction pledged that much we will meet our goal. Please reply to this post only to say "I pledge $5", that will make it easy to tally the pledge total by just counting the number of replies to this topic. In November, if we have accumulated enough pledges to purchase a six-month renewal, I will post instructions on how to actually send your $5 pledge to EZBoard using the community chest feature.
