Best goalies in the state 10U, 12U and 14U

Post by forwards4ever »

Since the Skaters get all the attention I thought we could talk a little about the goalies.

12's I really like the girl from Moorhead and the girls from EP and Edina. They are very solid and have few weaknesses.

At 14U I think the one from Minnetonka is spectacular.

your thoughts!!!!!!!!

U10 Goalies

Post by girlhockey65 »

I know they are young, We played in the Cake Eater Tourny this week and one of the edina U10B teams had an amazing goalie. Our team won 3-1, but we had 40 shots on net to their 12. She seemed a little raw, but if she continues to develop will be one to watch in the future, had all the moves and butterfly slide. Unfortunate she plays for edina (just kiddin) Lakeville also had amazing little goalies. Watched the 10A goalies in same tourny and no one was as quick as this little one, probably better than most boy goalies!

Go girls, make us proud!!!

Our girls played duluth yesterday, and they have an outstanding goalie. We outshot them at least 2-1 with some good shots. I believe she played 10A's last year and they didnt have enough for an A and B this year, so they lost a couple of their big players. I looked at there schedule and she has 5 shutouts out of 8 games and no one has scored over two goals on her yet. The team isn't blowing anyone out either. We lost 2-1. A couple of the parents and our coach told me that she played extremely well last year too. One to watch.

I was at the Centennial Chill this past weekend and seen the goalies from Centennial and Cottage Grove. Even though they are only 10U they were both very good. So far the best ive seen at that age group.

Hey PG looking at your previous posts, could it be you are a little bias to your Centennial crew. I have seen the 10U goalie for Centennial and think she is OK. I know the 98 goalie from Eagan is on top of the 98 list. Played for the 99 machine and was a 98 Select. Sloughfoot what was the age level for your Duluth goalie?

She's not ours (Cloquet), she plays for Duluth. Shes a 12U. Evidently she was at Selects last year. I just looked at there website. They have 10 games so far. 5 shutouts, 1 GAA, two non-league losses of which they were both 2-1. Superior scored the most on her- they must have played last night and DUluth won 4-3. She gave our girls fits last year, and she seems to be doing more of the same.

Endtoend which one of the 2 98's are you refering to, one plays at the 12 level and one plays at the 10 level this year. The 10 goalie made the championship games in all 6 tournaments that she has played in for the association and won 4 of them. And the Eagan girl is a 12 so thats apples to oranges, also thanks for the compliment to the legacy coach for he is a very good friend.

Also Endtoend the centennial goalie played for the Ice Cougars over the summer and the Minnkota wildcats and was a elite classic goalie along with superseries.

PG Easy papa!!! I was just pointing out a bias was all. As far as Legacy coach goes he was very very good to my daughter and taught her loads about the game. But back on topic, I saw Cent. goalie alot last summer. She certainly deserves to be in the top 10 for 10U goalies. I like the Minnetonka and EP goalies as well for 10U A.
Sloughfoot is she A or B? I heard Centennial won the Chill tourny and the Shakopee tourny as well.
I keep hearing about the girl from Moorhead 12U A but when I am looking at the scoreboard and it does not seem that they are doing very well. I am not saying it is all the goalies fault it's just from what I am hearing she is supposed to be a fenom!

The Cent goalie you seen in legacy is the 12A goalie. As far as the Moorhead goalie she is outstanding and is on a team that is not that strong she keeps them in the game every time out. And the Eagan is very good too.

I will tip my hat to the girl who plays PWA for Andover. She does a good job and their team is in first place in D10

Also the girl from the Wisconsin Fire 97AAA is pretty good too.

I know it doesn't fit in the box as defined ..but outside the box..it works.

Centennial 14A Black goalie is one of the best in the state - probably should be playing HS this year. She's seeing 40+ shots a game and is the only reason that team doesn't get blown out every night. Was on state runner-up 12B team last year.

Best goalies please!

Are we trying to find the best goalies at each level or is this thread to allow certain dads to pimp their own kids?
My vote:
12U - Champlin Park's 12UB goalie.

What the heck is this? A Centennial LOVE FEST! We are talking about the best goalies in the state. Can we get back on track. Sorry but runner up at 12B does not make a grand statement. And looking at your website, Cent. 14UA Black 1 Champlin Park 7. So is that all the defenses fault??? I don't recall seeing her around in the off season either or at selects or elites. I like the Andover PeeWee A goalie. She is an animal. If your argument is that we are talking girls hockey, bull. She is top ten in the state for sure. I like Eagan and Woodbury 12U. WBL is solid along with CP 12U B.

Touchy are we?

My kids don't even play at the 14A level, I was just offering an opinion on the topic.

The Eden Prairie Tournament for U12A should bring out the best goalies. Don't overlook some of the smaller goalies. Their save percentages, number of shutouts, and record tell the story and their not necessarily on the top teams.

New to the forum, as it was brought to my attention my goalie daughter (Duluth 12UB) was being complimented. Thanks Cloquet Dad. I feel a bit funny talking about my kid in this way, but I also know she's a hard working girl that loves the position more than ice cream and Christmas gifts. We played the WBL Moose Goheen this past weekend, and won. We played Woodbury, OMG and Mpls. Shut out OMG and Mpls, and Woodbury squeaked one in, bringing the tourney total to 6 to 1. She has 7 shutouts out of 14 games. Her save percentage is over .925, and her gpg average is below 1. Her team has beaten 3 of the top ten teams in their first 14 games. Good team, good coaching, good goaltending and great heart. Go Icebreakers!!
