That parent must have a short memory and forgot to tell you about how the game with MV went a week earlier - the score was just the opposite and just as lopsided. No rip on Centennial but they may have had a little payback in mind for the second game. They also may have forgotten to mention that MV put a beating on Blaine shortly there after 9 - 1.coleburns wrote:Centennial parents said they beat Mounds View in a scrimmage 5 to 1 and Centennial placed 3rd in the Brooklyn Park Tournament

Should be a good match-up - MV and WBL squirts scrimmaged earlier to a tie. Last year they split their two games in league play but WBL lost in first round of the district tourney and MV made it to the final. Looks pretty even and far from MV having "nothing on White Bear" I would say.old goalie85 wrote:that is nice info . we will see Mounds veiw in district 2 play. sounds like still, m.v, have gotten nothing on white bear.
Stillwater beat White Bear 2-1 in the last 25 seconds last night. The night before Stillwater hammered Roseville 10-3 outshooting them 46-10.H-E-doublehockeysticks wrote:Should be a good match-up - MV and WBL squirts scrimmaged earlier to a tie. Stillwater did not look as good against WBL as they have most of this short season (specifically against Bloomington Jefferson and others they played in the Brooklyn Park Thanksgiving tourney).
WBL is good and did a nice job of taking Stillwater off their game after the Ponies looked pretty dominant early in the game but couldn't put it in the net.
WBL did not look as deep as Stillwater; however they do have a good top end group of kids and the goalie did a very nice job for the bears

Edina snuck by Burnsville 6-5. Blaze was up two with less than 5 minutes to go ... Edina held the clock....(Just kidding dad running the clock forgot to start it for a few seconds..) Blaze rolled lines and the green might have shortened the bench a bit. Edina not a powerhouse team this year but have a nice squad.. I would expect to see some losses out of that camp.InigoMontoya wrote:The other 7 districts have squirt hockey, as well, and they keep score, too.

"All the crazies in in D2" would love to hear about other districts. We can't post the results or talk about the teams for them however.yeahyeahyeah wrote:Agree about news from other districts but maybe this means all the crazies are in D2 this year! What about up north Grand Rapids, Cloquet, Duluth, Roseau. Lets keep in mind this is not about putting teams down or pumping YOUR team up. In other words keep the integrity up.

Lost in translation, I was kidding about the crazies. They are all around us.Flyer79 wrote:"All the crazies in in D2" would love to hear about other districts. I believe FL has been shut out 4 times this year already and seems to have problems scoring. Pretty typical of a FL program, the kids work hard but not alot of highly skilled kids. They compete in D2 and usually end up middle of the road. Not bad.
