Virginia plays St. Frances on Friday. Who do you think will come out on top?

Control Joey Benik and TJ Belisle you win the game. Easier said then done but I think the Devils should have a pretty easy time. Goaltending is even up and I give the defense edge to the devils.

Cakewalk for Virigina. St Frances looked like they could barely skate against East Ridge and Virigina won't let Benik get away with losing every faceoff. Virgina 5-8 St. Frances 2.

Hate to burst a bubble, but Hendrickson vs Benik is no contest. Benik will have another multiple-point game. Northern Class A hockey has a tough time competing with even middle of the road downstate AA hockey.

But, I could be wrong. Let's see what happens - that's what it's all about.

VMIB will mop up on Saint Francis the 'one horse show' will not get the job done against a team that at least has 2 lines (most likely 3) that can play hockey.

Your kidding right? St. Francis has trouble with Cambridge,Princeton, and East Ridge. No way this is even close. Its going to be running time in the 3rd. A Northern Class A TEAM will have an easy time competing with a below average downstate AA hockey team who relies on one player.

Don't forget the Benik in goal is a good player as well. IMHO, better than the VA goalie, but team D strength may be the deciding factor. We'll have to wait and see.

I'm sure both teams have players that can score, other than the marquee guys. Team depth goes a long ways, as we all know.

Benik Slump?? Benik Over-rated!!

Considering St Francis isn't even a middle of the road AA team then the Northern boys should be just fine. According to K Gorg St Francis is a Class A team to watch this year. hahaha

Youngblood, you're on top of your game. Is there a box score anywhere - can't find it online so far this morning.

BTW, pretty sure STF is in 7AA, East almost played them in Section tourney last year but they were upset by Princeton? I think, but might be a different team.

Really?? did I not mention they aren't even a middle of the road AA team?? In refference to your "Northern teams can't compete with middle of the road AA downstate teams." comment. Which would mean that STF is a Bottom Level AA team and be the results it looks as thou the Northern team handled them just fine.

Gorg of FSN mentioned they were a Class A to be watched, so the guy doing TV doesn't even think they are AA. Boy tough to get respect when you play no one!!!
