#15 White Bear Lake at #11 DE @ Superior Ice Arena 12/11/09

white bear needs their first line to stick together... wolter birkinbine and wahlin didnt play together until the third period. they have a chance to be the best line in state if they stay out of the box. i think that was the problem for them against east

I guess from my point of view it wasn't a very close game. Lutzka finally had the breakout game I predicted 2 games ago and buried 3 times for the 'trick. East was very methodical when playing the puck and just wore WBL out from all the passes. It seemed whenever WBL had an odd man rush they would just throw it at the net and hope for a rebound, but Jeanetta gobbled most of those up. I was very impressed with Randolph, Olson's, and Brazerol really stepping up while these D-men are out. Wolters from WBL didn't really show much out there. He has a nice shot but I guess didn't do much tonite. Before WBL fans go crying about penalties doing them in don't forget Johnson got 10 min for checking from behind which lasted most of the 3rd period, so if WBL can't score with 4 of DE's defensemen not playing, there's more trouble than penalties. I felt East really stepped up tonite with sophomores Randolph, Holappa, Olson,Cotter and Repensky really stepping up and making an impact. Kuening also held his own out there.
Overall WBL should matchup well with Cloquet at this point in the season. Just really wasn't impressed with them.
