($5) Central Lakes Fighting Pike AAA Tryouts ($5)
Moderators: Mitch Hawker, east hockey, karl(east)
By trying out for this team during the high school season, is a girl jeopardizing their high school eligibility? MSHSL has strict rules about participation with non-school teams during the season.
I know with AAU basketball most clubs have their tryouts the day after the state tournament.
Just asking.

It is technically a skills clinic and a preliminary tryout. It is up to the coach of the school. If he/she says it is okay then come. If not come to the tryouts that are posted after the girls state tournament. It is more of a skills clinic on the 28th anyways and most coaches wouldn't mind if their players participating in a skills clinic.
We will not do any drills where there will be players fighting for a puck. It should be a great learning experience and at the same time the girls will be evaluated by coaches to see if they have what it takes to be a member of the Fighting Pike!!!

Absolutely Not!!
You can not try-out, skate, practice, etc...for any team during the high school season if you are a high school player. Every year girls get suspended for this. Last year 2 Richfield girls were suspended for this exact thing. If your coach or AD find out about it, you will be suspended! It's clear in the MN High School League rules and most teams go over it with their players.
Plain and simple it is simply a five dollar skills clinic.
Once again the date is Monday the 28th!!!
No players that show up Monday are on the Fighting Pike.
It is no different if Person A was going to run a skills clinic. Anyone can run a skills clinic. Our group is simply putting it on.
I hope to see all and more that have already registered for the skills clinic on Monday!!!
Register immediately at www.northlandhockeygroup.com. Once again it is only five dollars. Thanks a lot
