HM Bantams vs AHA Bantams

My point is, to be a true rivarly,(IMO) it has to start in the youth level and continue through HS. Roseau/Warroad begins in tiny-mites.

Have you not read this thread? EP-Edina was shut down long ago, it doesn't even compare to Tonka-Edina.

Roseau/Warroad - This rivalry extends to girls sports. There isn't any rivalry that also extends to any sport like this one. They don't like each other in football, golf, track, cross country, volleyball, basketball, you name it, they hate each other in it.

I'd live to be in the stands for a Fort/I Falls game, or a Hill/WBL game, but that doesn't reflect this rivalry. This rivalry is about life up there, not just a game.

I invite anyone who wants to meet me at the Roseau Legion prior to the Roseau/Warroad game on January 14th and I will buy you a cold one before the game. No matter the outcome, I guarantee you will enjoy the experience.

Anyone who hasn't attended a good high school hockey game in Roseau hasn't experienced high school hockey period. I will certainly be doing this again at some point. Truly an experience.

Despite all the history associated with the Warroad/Roseau rivalry it certainly has changed over the years with the difference of classes. A more modern case can be made with Warroad/TRF. They have been a part of the section championship almost every year in the last 5-6 years and always are great games, not to mention they play each other in just about every other sport coming all the way through the ranks much like Roseau. Not trying to take anything away from the Warroad/Roseau rivalry, as it will always be a top tilt all over the state, but to be honest it is losing a bit of its luster as time goes on and hatred is starting to mount elsewhere in my opinion as well.

As far as private schools go Blake vs Breck is by far the best. Those games are insane no matter what the sport, they flat out dont like each other.

But otherwise Edina vs Tonka or WBL vs Hill

Actually, you should have said the only sport White Bear can beat Hill in is football, track, and cross country.

Hill is better than White Bear in baseball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, golf, lacrosse, swimming and, of course, hockey which is quite frankly the only thing that matters.

they can't beat white bear in baseball, soccer, or lacrosse and probably others that i don't follow at all.

We beat White Bear in baseball in sections last year, and also in soccer this fall I believe.

I honestly dont know about Lacrosse though- I just know supposedly we're pretty good so I threw that on there.

yeah these teams cant stand each other
Virginia and Hibbing hate each other in every sport even when they aren't in the same section for some sports... It's become a bigger rivalry than Virginia and Eveleth! Although there are still pretty good chants at that game...

When did this ever happen? or are you just still embarrassed from the 7-1 virginia win in virginia last year?

While I haven't been to one of these games in a couple years.....

You joined less than 3 weeks ago, and it seems from your posts as though you either struggle with long term memory, or are too young to have attended numerous games in this rivalry.

Just because Virginia won last year (the one game), has nothing to do with whether something happened in a previous game or year.

I had a different account, but I deleted that email account...
Virginia beat hibbing in section finals 3-1
Hibbing beat Virginia last Jan. 4-2 in a penalty filled game.
They split games the year before.(07-08 )
for the 2 years before that Hibbing knocked Virginia out of the playoffs during semis (06-07,05-06)
Virginia beat Hibbing 5-3 in 2005 to go to state
bottom line is Virginia and Hibbing hate each other

How's my memory now?
