That is exactly right. They need to figure out a way to put the puck in the net

Looks like a name change

Post by sixbucksagallon »

Looks like N.Shorn has changed his name to Hockey24/7/365. Same grammar, same spelling, same self-praising. You guys have a solid team, concentrate on your "team". Brett Favre has stated many times this year if he throws for 400 yards, or AP runs for 200 yards, it doesn't matter if they don't win. When we lost to Pittsburgh you didn't hear Favre say, " hey throw me a bone I threw for 334 yards".

I wish the Blaine "team" good luck on the season. I hope the "team" does well. I am not trying to put you down, but as someone else has said, let your team or coach say how well you have played. It has more meaning that way.

Good luck!

Not N.Schorn but someone who knows him very well (best friend), and I agree with you on 99% of that except the team part....the Blaine JGA is not a "team" at this point in the season, many kids have been sat for "poor" play even though they are not given the chance to show good play and hard work because the coach seems to be semi in love with one line in particular and it is hurting the team immensely. If you take a look at the Spirit turney Blaine played in you will notice how well the lines worked together, well the coach decided that he cant have lines that work good together for what ever reason only he knows so he switched the lines after the turney and has been switching them every game since then....so the "team" needs to pull it together and work well with eachother no matter what line they are on or else go back to the original lines at the start of the season!

Looks like the coach is trying to find a way to get some goals. I would be switching lines up also. It is very early in the season. Have some faith in the coach and the kids should worry about playing hockey and having fun. Hopefully it will work out in March.

So my question to you is. If the team goes 4-0 with the same lines. Then they change the lines once in the Championship and lose, then again against Wayzata and lose, Then again against EP and tie and then changed again against Eagan and lose how is that helping the team out. Why would you not stick with the same lines that had you started out at 4-0? But yes I do agree you can not blame the coaches for this. You need to blame the entire team and come out and work hard and let the past games go and bring on the new games and go out there and win

Agreed, its just an all around crappy situation no matter how you look at it, the team is to blame but then the team blames the coaches....not good.

Blaine will get it figured out. It's early in the season. A couple of things I've seen in all my years in hockey are:

1) Teams sometimes experience bumps, blips, whatever you want to call them in a long season. They have the talent. The kids need to trust the coaches.

2) Teams sometimes have letdowns following tournaments. Especially if the team had some tourney success like blaine did. Having to play Wayzata and EP on successive nights following the Spirit was IMO not a great scheduling idea. I expect a bounce back night on Saturday, which is their next game.

Yes, Bville has only missed 1 point in league with the tie to Wayzata. Looking forward to seeing some of the other top teams in the league in the new year, Tonka, Edina, Wessy's , ect.
Merry Christmas all.

Tonka played well. Wessey's boys moved the puck well, I would not overlook this team.

Wessy review

Post by blueblood »

Wessy scouting report:

Good skating team
Not as big as last year's team
4 full lines
Moved the puck well on the power play
tonka outplayed them 5 on 5; had hard time breaking out against tonka on occasions
#4 likes to play physical on def
experienced goalies
not quite a top 5 team
definetly in top 8
expect them to playing for a berth to go to state
