The Hornets competed for the first 43 minutes or so then let off for the last 8 or so. They were ahead 2-1 but somehow managed to give away 2 quick goals. Despite lacking Gardiner, Tonka, managed to give some good offense. Does anyone know if or when he'll be back? Shots were pretty even for the game except for the 1st period when Edina started off with an 11-5 edge.

After losing the fab 5 or 6 to graduation last year, the green machine is still tough to beat with their depth (3 great lines this year instead of just 2) and solid goaltending in Ankeny and Girard. After almost topping the #1 tonight, they have a believer in me and so many others that they did not at the beginning of the season. I can't wait for the 1/23 and 2/11 games against the skippers.

Also: what exactly happened to Max Everson? How long is he out for?

Thanks for the recap dangles. Word is Gardiner is out for around 6 weeks. This could be a huge blow for the Skippers, at least they'll have him back for the playoffs though.

Looks to me as if these two teams may be in the state final. Both look hard to beat. Edina might have what they were looking for now that they will play as a team instead of just five.
I am now worried for my team this week, but any day any team can win and I will always pull for my team.
