Edina 6, Wessys 2
Wessys Boys is easily the cheapest team I've seen play in a long time. I counted 4-5 times when one of their players cross-checked an Edina player in the head or the neck. That's just uncalled for in any situation. Their goalie cannot get down quick enough and seemed to barely make a lot of saves when the puck was on the ice, he also has a hard time holding on to his stick. It seemed to hard to get to the net because they wreak havoc in that territory.
If you are in front of Wessys net they will clear you out of the way, whether it be through tripping you, slashing you, or yes, even pulling you to the ground. I saw all 3.
This game was close actually for a while, within one goal, until the 3rd period Edina pulled it together and scored 4 quick goals. Both teams had lots of penalty trouble which wasn't no surprise, as Edina has it's share of hot heads too.

Duluth 4
Moorhead 2
Duluth took 10 kids into the final game of the day and had their youth show up to play. 4 Sophomores, 5 Juniors with 1 Senior to round it out. Played a very big and fast Moorhead team with a full bench. It is going to be interesting to see how Duluth does after they get the kids that they lost in Canada back from injury (3 hurt and out, 2 more hurt but playing, one is done for the year) and settled in.
