Well, a not very interesting week. A few games of note that got my attention. but all and all it will be the holiday tourneys that may make some changes. Honestly this week i only feel comfortable with picks 1-11 after that it is really a crap shoot. So don't kill me over 12-20 or my teams on the outside looking in.

1 Minnetonka - Stays on top with solid win over a good AV team.
2 Duluth East - defeats Wayzata 4-2
3 Woodbury -
4 Wayzata - Took care of OMG in D3
5 Maple Grove - Struggled and could not take down Wayzata
6 Edina - Continues to play well with wins over WBL and Rochester
7 Eden Prairie -
8 Eagan - Is good sized and improving everyday
9 Grand Rapids -
10 Apple Valley - Played some good games beating burnsville and playing tight to Tonka
11 Burnsville - lost 3-0 to Apple Valley
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12 Roseau -
13 Cloquet - improving team
14 Blaine - lost to Elk River this week, there first d-10 blemish
15 Centennial - Back on the board with big victory over WBL still in hunt for D10
16 Jefferson - 4-1 lost to burnsville
17 White Bear Lake - dumps a 7-0 game to Centennial and 6-3 to edina
18 Stillwater - Dropping fast with tough competition
19 Chaska -
20 Andover - dropped a game to Rogers, big match up this week with Centennial

On the outside looking in - (in no particular order)

Mpls Park, Moundsview, Lakeville South, St. Cloud, Prior Lake, Cottage Grove, Hopkins, Moorhead, Centennial, NSP, Rochester, East Grand Forks -

Jefferson's 4-1 loss to Burnsville was over a month ago, on November 21st. The only action they had the past week was a 4-1 victory over Eastview.

CNF,
I believe the boys from GR ran the table on their hosted tournament this weekend with wins over Champlin Park, Hopkins and Cloquet to keep them at the 9 spot.

Being completely honest with everyone, I have no Idea how to rank these teams this week. There has been so much happening, it is simply guess work. This is the first time in the history of Rankings that WBL and Centennial have both been out of the top 20!! Is this the time of new blood, or just down years.

1 Duluth East - Back on Top, Really the Best around.. No weaknesses .
2 Minnetonka - Loss to Jefferson drops them out of top spot
3 Woodbury - Wins Edina tourney with less pizzaz then normal
4 Wayzata -
5 Grand Rapids - location keeps them from a strong schedule, but showing they are good
6 Edina - dumps game to Roseau, Beats up on Rochester and EP
7 Eagan - Coming on Really strong
8 Maple Grove - Drops Game to Elk River and Lakeville North
9 Lakeville South - Jumps back on with stong tourney showing
10 Apple Valley -
11 Burnsville -
12 Roseau - Beats Edina Looses to Mpls Park
13 Eden Prairie - Loss of top line player has hurt team
14 Elk River - Wow playing well right now... Go Flemming
15 Mounds View - Coming on and Plaing well
16 Jefferson - beats tonka, but loss to mounds view
17 Blaine - Ties Centennial, Controls D10
18 Mpls Park -Posting good scores and playing well
19 East Grand Forks - Will be a tough test come regions
20 Andover - Defeats Centennial, then drops game to Burnsville

I have to agree with you. I have seen a number of these teams play and all are very good. Within the next month, we will see which team(s) worked hard to improve themselves. Those teams will rise to the next level.

Lakeville South Dad, Congrats on winning back to back tourneys!! The team must be playing very well to win these games! Hey a question: does your coach play all lines evenly or do certain players dominate on the ice? Haven't had the pleasure to see your team yet this year but plan to do so in the near future.

Winning/playing well in tourneys during the year is always exciting and rewarding...........hopefully these wins will propel your team to one of the Region berths. District 8 looks pretty tough again this year. Good luck!!

Lakeville South must be the best team........just look at the Lets Play Hockey rankings...........!!! Means nothing right now. The test is the District tourneys coming in February........The question will be answered at that time.

This is a tough year, and I am having problems really giving a good look at 13-20

1 Duluth East - Better than all the rest
2 Woodbury - Very solid team
3 Minnetonka - they have show to be beatable in the last few weeks
4 Edina - i know they don't always look sharp but i can't deny the talent
5 Grand Rapids - very good northern team
6 Eagan - Playing with their size really well right now
7 Jefferson - another team playing outstanding hockey
8 Maple Grove - wins big showdown with the trojan
9 Lakeville South - ever improving
10 Apple Valley -
11 Burnsville -
12 Wayzata - great D needs better O to compete for title

13 Roseau -
14 Eden Prairie -
15 Blaine - has all but wrapped up D10 and is the only team for sure in Regions
16 Mounds View - good team, will goaltending hold up
16 Rochester - getting better, needs to in order to challenge in last season in d8
17 Centennial - I can not pass on a team that has improved as much as they have, still a long way to the top though
18 East Grand Forks - another solid northern team
19 Cloquet, can score... can they keep the best teams off the score board
20 ???????? not sure? any suggestions?

Honestly

1-3 are the top tier teams this year

4-12 can be jumbled up and beat each other on any given day so that makes it tough.. however they are better than the rest

13-20 are teams that have shown to be better than the average teams but really struggle to be consistent against the top teams
