Eagan Vs Eastview 1/7/10

Post by HappyHockeyFan »

Eagan wins 4 - 3, outshot Eastview 60 - 21...Ryan O'Shea goalie for EV played a great game it could have easily been 8,9,10 to 3. Boedeker gave up a couple screen shot goals from the point, one on the power play and another he mishandled late. Game was not near as close as the score indicates. Next up the Eagles of AV, should be a great game.

Thanks for adding the shots, because that explains more to the story than just the final.

Looks like Eagan threw everything at them except the Rainbow Foods!!

Yeah, It looks like O'Shea (EV goalie) did that to Apple Valley earlier in the year when AV outshot them 46-14 and only won 2-1. Kind of the same story. Should be a good game Saturday, AV at Eagan.

Star Tribune said O'Shea had 51 saves.

That's because they are losing money, on the verge of disappearing, and they couldn't afford to add the 5 shots.

Maybe I should recommend cutting shots to the Duluth News-Tribune; they need the cash probably even more than the Strib does.

60 shots is what they showed on the board after the game, but I see followthepuck.com has it as 55 shots, 51 saves as well...still alot..lol

Karl, when you have a quality sportscaster in Tom Hansen (my former HS classmate, college roomate and Communications Major partner, and current Channel 45 tournament personality) running the TV broadcasts up there, who wants to even read a Duluth newspaper?? :P

 Pretty sure I saw Tom at the Cloquet game last month. I should ask him for some college stories next time I bump into him...

O'Shea was great last night. Not a chance to save any of the shots that went in. On the other side the goalie was a bit questionable, no hard saves and the D kept everything long or to the outside. 55 or 60 shots it was a long night for him.

I haven't read that liberal rag in years. Good riddance when they finally give it up, unless they get community organizing money from Obama.

Games only last a couple hours... you may want to wait until Cloquet JV, Cloquet Varsity, East JV and East varsity all have a game on the same day, same sheet of ice - that would cover our freshmen year of college!!

The Red Star has a better comics page though.
