Well, I wasn't going to answer it but now I will.Sharkman wrote:Why would it matter. They played Tartan. Wow, lets get some substance going here and talk some real hockey.joehockey wrote:Who did H Brandt play with?iceage wrote:Hill Murray 6
Tartan 0
H. Brandt played second line (had hat trick).
Third line scored two goals.
She played with Lund and McDowell (Fabian wasn't at the game).
Uh, that's exactly the kind of thing that's interesting that you can't get from boxscores..... I'd also like to know who got moved up to skate with MBrandt & Doyle, especially if they're going to keep them together going forward.Sharkman wrote:Why would it matter. They played Tartan. While I think everyone would agree that one player cannot win a game by herself because hockey is a team sport; having had the opportunity and the pleasure over the years to watch Hannah play, I can say for a fact that she makes things happen for herself and her linemates, whoever they might be. [How's that for a complex sentence ...]hockeyheaven wrote:I don’t think who was on the line with her is really that significant…if you know what I meanjoehockey wrote:Who did H Brandt play with?iceage wrote:Hill Murray 6

One of the amzing things about Hannah Brandt and what makes her so good is her complete unselfishness to move the puck and make the right play - her impact is great at HS and her vision will allow her to be a success at the next level.
My reason for asking was she has been a fixture with Marissa Brandt and Melissa Doyle most of the season (they are the 1-3 point getters at HM). Doyle played some of the Edina tournament with McDowell and Lund and the line looked very good.

Hannah Brandt is an amazing player. As the stats imply, it doesn't matter if she plays first or second line. Get her the puck and she will make things happen. She is fortunate, however, that she is on a team and playing for a coach that recognizes that and makes sure she gets passed the puck. That doesn't always happen in girl's hockey. My prediction is that the team that wins it all this year will be the one that plays best together as a team. It will be interesting to see how the polls shake out this week for the teams that have recently shown they are weak in this area.
