ndor53 you said it all! question I wonder what this Brown guy thinks of the education at HM? Someone once said, that it doesn't matter where you play, if your good, you will get noticed! Hockey is just that, a game of chances! Good luck both programs, moving on!

ndor53, you sound like a bantam coach at river heights mad the kids didnt play 2 years of bantams. Bantams i agree has it advantages more games, kids can get more confindence with the puck because they have more time to handle it etc... but if your not getting pushed in practice because you are ahead of the other kids skill wise you will not be getting better. High school practices everyday they dont have a game these kids practice against older kids who are stronger and get pushed more which can help there developement. Bill brown is a great guy but from what i hear how is he going to pay for wayne jr. to go to hill heard he doesnt work.....
Enough already. Haveit Stop , My son is #7 1st year Bantam and has played D for just over a month But then you should know that. HE STEPPED UP FOR HIS TEAM when they asked for help at D I don't think your son did. you can ripe on me about his play to my face not on this site. I know who you are as well as HALF the team. One more thing before I go 7 and 30 will stay at there current schools for high school. now let's shut this down as this is a HIGH SCHOOL FORUM. I will be at the game SUNDAY, maybe you and I should TALK!

settle 7's dad. never said your kid was bad. not part of this team for one thing, friends with a parent on this team, and have listened to the issues for the past couple of years. enjoy watching your kid, and many of the others. won't be at the game on sunday so we won't chat, other things to do this weekend. have a good one! like a said, good luck to both teams.
Sorry
Sorry not a coach, dont want that job, but did have two boys with one playing varsity early and one did not. I feel that the older one got cheated, did not get a chance to advance slowly as the younger one. Also had issues with a young teenager in the lockerroom with basic adults telling him what to do...
I also agree lets get back to Varsity....Who won the SSP/Simley game I was out of town.
Can anybody tell me who runs the Bantam teams. I look on one site one year then both sites another year. Is there still a B team? I am confused on that.

ndor53 very good points. simley has a good coach in place and with some nice young talent coming. give him some time. the SSP superstars goes back to the earlier comment of coaching at home. look at who they are. as far as bantams staying for 2 years like most power house highschool programs do, witch in turn makes the bantam program better, i think both schools have expierenced it in the past and very few of those kids have developed or advancced to the next level. and it needs to be said there is more to it then abality. maturity, leadership, and much more factors in. in more cases then not those kids tend to flatten out. that is one of the reason simley is in the situation it is in today. 4 or 5 years back simleys coach took appx 8 players up early including 2 that never played bantams. look what it did for that program. i dont think one single one of them are playing at the next level and or were even succesfull at the highschool level. simley best player this year by far is only a soph. that the coach chose to keep back at bantams last year even with the displeasure of his parents. right move. As far as this years bantams, there is some nice players that will prbly contribute next year to the hichschool teams. and your absolutly right they need to play physical. ive been at the rink during games and at practices and ive talked to players on the team and the coach preaches engaging and finishing checks. if you look at the guys that do, they are the returners. im sure by the end of the season witch is only half way done he will have others doing it also.
a couple of more things. who cares were 17 goes to school? nice player, and wish him success were ever he chooses. doesnt 6 go to private and no one is bashing him. how did fridays game go? did the fans coach them to a victory?
