I was just checking the mnhockeyhub website for scoring leaders. They're Isint much standouts. I seen Hantge, Juntanen, and Loose stats. Players who were succesful 1st liners last year. What's going on?

Can't wait to see what happens between New Ulm and Litch, but this is the second time the game has been postponed. Litch and Marshall play friday, Litch should take this one.

Redwood playing anyone? any updates there? OH WAIT! Redwood doesnt play anybody i forgot! Sleepy eye plays a harder schedule than redwood this year. PATHETIC. any comments golfer 5? Redwood will never be able to compete in sections because they never challenge themselves with competition. REDWOOD will never ever win their section quote it...... MARSHALL all the way.

I agree with golfer5, sregit34 drank too much egg nog over the holidays. Come on, Marshall section 3A top contender, Marshall barely beat Luverne who is winless this season. An empty netter with less than a minute left in the game gives the Tigers a 6-4 win. Stats of the game show shots were fairly close but Marshall scores 2 on the PP. Not really the kind of team I foresee taking the section. Yea, Yea, I know, they played their backup goalie. If they have to rely on Campion that much, which they did against New Ulm, they will falter down the stretch if he gets injured or has a bad game. Marshall better watch out, they still have to play Fairmont. It appears that Marshall has a tough time with teams that have a Cardinal mascot with losses to RV, Willmar, and eeking one out against last place Luverne. sregit34, do a little research

Marshall and Redwood Falls= Benders! Both teams have no chance at a section championship. I said from the start it will come down to new ulm, litch, and hutch. Litch just came off a close loss to a tough Orono team and Hutch beat Prior Lake. I don't know much about New Ulm lately.

everybody has an off night. everybody.. Marshall played like $hiite and they will be the first to admit it..... how about redwood beating a lowly worthington team by one goal and not outshooting them by more than 5, and Litchfiel only beating a weak morris benson team by one goal, or im sure hutch isnt to happy playing a tight game with an absolutely horrid shakopee team..granted they did win by 3. but still.... or i seem to remember a few years ago when Fairmont gave new ulm a runs for their money.

bottom line everyone has their bad games and marshall had numerous kids suspended, ill or injured... their goalie, assistant capatain forward, one of their top defenseman, and two others who play key roles on the second and third lines... its hard to fill that many holes in a smaller program. but all excuses aside....

they played awful.... no excuse for that. They will be back. I dont think anyone can doubt that.

Marshall lost to litch today....5-2......

shots 30-25

shots were 26-10 after 2 periods. according to the board

good hockey game though. i would expect the score to be closer should these teams play again, marshalls tender was human and vulnerable, didnt play that well... i have a feeling the score could be inverted to marshalls favor in the future.

Srigit 34 your problem is not that Marshall is a small program. Marshall is 3 times the size of Redwood and Look at Sleepy Eye Im sure Swans has more people on the night crew than Sleepy eye has in the entire Town.
Suspended players shows lack of respect for the Town, Coaches, Team, and themselves.
And these are the players you are counting on to win the section.
Your comments are the same as last year.
Same results not winning so dump on everyone else.
You have a loosing record
Got beat by Redwood again.
Shots on goal yada yada.
Strength of schedule, again Redwood AD tried to set up Games with New Ulm, Hutch and Willmar, AGAIN LIKE EVERY YEAR.
I respect the Marshall Program your the Largest town in the Conference so dont make excuses about filling holes in a small program and pick on the teams that have 1/3 the population to develope the program.
yep same conversation from last year.

I actually agree with your lunacy this time. Marshall has no excuse. some of your other stuf meh no!... no basis... but quote this marshall will beat redwood..

oh a large reason why marshall has a losing record is because of their schedule.. they actually challenged themselves at a holiday tournament (schwans cup). They have played tough teams (AA Winona, AA Irondale, NOrth Metro, New Ulm, Litchfield, Willmar, Hutch later, Rochester Lourdes later this week.) Not one SW conference team schedule even comes close... but who cares... Marshalls gonna take care of business. count on it.

Mark my words. Marshall win not win the section championship. Sure they beat New Ulm but so have other teams. Marshall lost to Redwood and slipped away with a couple wins.

New Ulm or Hutch takes it...

sregit34, your thinking is as backwards as your name. School enrollment for Marshall is 717, Redwood has an enrollment of 388. Sure, add in the coop schools and they look fairly close in size, but how many kids do you really think are choosing to play hockey from some of the coop schools with a one way drive of around 23 miles? Probably only a couple, but MSHSL rules make them count the whole enrollment, not complaining just stating the rules. ( I will not even mention some of the other SMALL SCHOOLS in this section and the drives some of their players from coops make to play hockey) Face it, Marshall IS one of the largest schools in this section with New Ulm at 1070 with coops (not much driving for coop kids here), and Hutch at 791. Your school size gives you an ADVANTAGE in this section, its not an excuse for poor performance, leave that excuse to the schools that really are small and still manage to be competitive and are not trash talking players from other teams.

Fairmont over Sleepy Eye 6 to 2.
Marshall over Redwood 7 to 1.
New Ulm over Waseca 5 to 2.
(good luck to all teams)
well you got 1 right.
I had two right! (Come on Marshall you beat New Ulm and you lose to Redwood)
ok sregit34 i dont see why you are constantly trying to say marshall will beat redwood, because if i remember right redwood has won the past three games between the two.also i dont see why you are talking about the strength of the schedule either, obviously it doesnt matter who redwood is playing because they still beat you.they have been trying to get a tougher schedule for the past couple years but teams refuse to play them because they dont want to take the chance to lose to redwood because it would look bad for them.
