PLAYERS NAMES AND THREADS

Post by prospector »

...SINCE THIS WEBSITE ISNT PROTECTED BY THE U.S. CONSTITUTION it appears that we cannot use players names in threads to voice our opinions... so from now on would everyone use (team and and player # and if that is too specific maybe use player with # between {x & y} thus to not implicate them directly!!!! because if u do it appears that the thread will be locked an u may no longer express your OPINION. from what i have seen there have been no threats or harsh accusations on players in this league..... however the quality control of this website has determined that opinions are not tolerated ( my guess is that as soon as i get done with this post i will no longer be allowed on this site) so see ya gents ans gals all i am addressing is (US Constitution... 1st amendment ) what makes America Beautiful is our freedom of OPINION without Prosicution

](*,) Ever hear of something called libel?

Of course you can use player names. Just not in ways that might be damaging to individuals and their reputations...especially if they're minors.

Um, Washington DC, where I am right now?

I believe I took a pretty strong stand against the release of names during the Hill incident last year, if that's what you're referring to.

well gang my point here is,,,, whenever i read threads dthat players are discussed in a negitive way ( their conduct on or off the ice ) {White Bear} most recently and other similar situations in the past.. As soon as there is a little bit of Negitivity addressed about players the thread gets LOCKED.. I have no personal involvement in any of these threads ( but i read them) and before any actual information seems to be revealed the thread gets locked and ( ITS DONE )

I can speak from my end, prospector, that there have been posts involving WBL on comments that I HAVE MADE that I felt were inappropriate, and I have asked Lee to remove them, and some I asked that he monitor - just in case.

There is a "sticky" thread about how to report offensive issues, and there may be some people that will ask Lee to remove things or stop threads via PMs. Lee takes the information and makes his decision.

So, therefore, Lee should be commended for his proactive stance to provide some form of decency to protect individuals, that may not want their student-athletes singled out.

So first you wanted complete freedom, and now you want things erased? :?

Slow down...take a few deep breaths...turn off your caps lock...remember your basic grammar...now come away from the ledge...

This post has nothing to do with ME trust me,,, I just find it disturbing that the Quality Control stops posts when they find a problem. Because i feel if it was really a problem the post should be deleted. Now the rules of this website are that no "negative attacks or name calling" well,,,, Facts dont fall in that category... so who distinguishes Fact from Fiction??? (the moderator i suspect) which is fine,, but if it is just Name Calling or an attack,,, why leave it on and why allow it to continue???? if it is Slander and unsubstantiated,, just get rid of it.. That way NO ONE is offended!!! my position is "EITHER LEAVE IT ALONE OR GET RID OF IT" these threads that are locked and left in view only add to threads like these

Love the 12 commas between sentences - certainly adds validity to prospector's issues.

It's not that the WBL thread gets locked because it's about the hazing issue, it's that-

A) You get 1500 replies saying WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?! By accounts made 5 minutes ago, who don't bother to read the first 5 replies.

B) 4-5 threads get made asking the same question, and we simply post the link to the information, and no need to discuss what was already discussed.

C) You start getting accusations, public school jokes, rivalry slams, misinformed users spreading false info ETC.

It just gets out of hand, and locking it is just for the benefit of this entire forum.
Always celly hard.

Prospector, if someone is obnoxious I can kick them out of my house.

Not sure if my right to do that is provided by the Constitution or not. Doesn't matter.

Would calling somebody a "BENDER" be considered name calling?
