Wowzers is right! New Ulm came out flying. I don't know if Litch wasn't expecting it but they came out flat. New Ulm scored some cheesy goals and the goalie was pulled after the first. It was 4-0 after the first. It got pretty chippy and a lot of hits were thrown. New Ulms line of #5, #12, and #3 were very exciting to watch. Just can't believe it ended up 9-2....

After that game they are automatically #1 ok.... well hand the title over. they beat litch by seven... everyone bend over and take it cuz you wont beat new ulm now..... ok so new ulm might have taken it to em this night.. But does the score reflect the type of game that was played? i would think not. SOunds like litch's goale had an off night and the backup, well theres a reason hes only played one game... any game between the top 4 or 5 in this section should be a battle... New Ulm should know that as well as anyone losing to lously old marshall...letsgowild wrote:New Ulm is #1 in section 3A after that game.(what a but kicken)

New Ulm will get number simply because they ran over Litch and beat Hutch. That number one spot for New Ulm hasn't
played out to well for them the last two years. Playoffs is a while away and teams are going to get better. Should be intresting to see who goes to state. Personally I think New Ulm will go.
By the way I don't think Peterson is a bender. Where do you get that from bdangles?

Hutch has a great first line(Adams, Hantge, Grinna), a goalie(Swenson), and a couple defense that know how to play.
meh they only lost by three to lourdes... That aint too shabby.. 3-2 after the first period..
oooh hutch and Northfield, that should be a good one.. Northfield works their bags off.. has a few good players.. Im gonna say its close but northfield outshoots hutch by more than ten. Northfields goalie is weak so they might lose despite outshooting hutch.

Hutch and Northfield tied last night 1-1. Was a real good game.
SOG
Northfield 8-10-12-4- 34
Hutchinson 10-8-9-2 29
Both goals were scored in the third period
hutch scored first (Hahn at 14:48) and northfield came right back came right back and scored (pumper from scofield, and wellman at 15:18). The first two periods of the game were pretty even, but I would say Northfield controlled the third period and overtime. Both teams had good chances and both goalies had some nice saves. Hutch's goalie really played well. But northfield had more chances and was the better team in my opinion, a real good game yesterday

Not as involved as sregit in this section, but I've seen most of them play
At this point, I see.
1. Hutch - tough sched, beating/hanging with some really legit programs
2. New Ulm - always tough when it counts, never count them out of any game or section play
3. Litch - better than they showed in NU last week, no one will walk over them in sections
4. Redwood - best of the rest right now, until the Marshall rematch, hard to judge because they don't play anyone
5. Marshall - finally playing a really tough sched, it may pay off if they keep learning, too up-and-down right now to put them any higher or lower
6. Windom - underachieving right now, but won't be fun to play in sections
At this point, I see.

but they still beat the other two teams who have a legit shot at the section,
including 9-2 victory over a team that beat marshall somewhat handedly

Section 3A Scores
Luverne Beats Marshall 2 to 0 Wow.... Luverne seems to be getting ok started the season 0-9-1 but have won 3 straight against Section 3A teams. Fairmont, Worthington and now Marshall...
Also New Ulm only beat Fairmont 5 to 2 kind of weird score thought it would be much worse...
LDC Beat Mound Westonka nice win for the Dragons!!
Hutch falls to the Wingers 5 to 2
Section 3A is starting to get a little more interesting I have seen every team play now and can say that honestly on any given night 3 to 4 teams could win this section. Should be fun to watch....
