Wish I could make the trip. Players and the fans dislike one another, wow sounds like a great rivalry have to give the home team the advantage. DEVILS 6 - JACKETS 3

Couldn't agree more. This could be a 7A championship preview. With Marshall falling to the hands of Proctor these two I think have become the two favorites. The buzz is building into what should be one the best games of the season. There's tons of anticipation and now we're only hours away.

I Don't root for either of these teams, but hibbing has always played dirty, I agree, I don't think hibbing has a strong enough defense to beat Virginia, I'll take Virginia on this game 5-3.

I've giving Virginia the advantage because I think it will at least be a fair game if it played in Virginia. Games played in Hibbing, Jackets always seem to have a big advantage, i'll leave it at that.

 Your kidding right?? The refs at Hibbing are normally worse than any other refs around. I can't tell if your using sarcasm or what but no way does Hibbing have homer refs. In fact there the exact opposite.

I'm saying that if your playing at the Hibbing area, and your not the home team, expect to get called on just about everything, and watch the bluejackets get called on close to nothing.

Ok so you weren't using sarcasm. And what I'm saying is thats the exact opposite. The calls are almost always even but there always very questionable ones. They let the blatant ones go and then call the minor, not very noticeable ones. I think in general all IRC/Section 7A refs are bad but no matter where you play the opposing team will say they got homered.

First off huge crowd and awesome atmosphere.

Second Hibbing's powerplay was horrendous, they couldn't even set up in the zone. Virginia has 3 guys on one side of the ice and really pressured. Virginia had two 5-3 goals. Back to back which isn't that surprising.

Hibbing played well in the first period but those two 5-3 goals really sucked the life out of them and Virginia went to town. Virginia's defense and goaltending was also very good. Hibbing had 4 or 5 really good chances to score but Myhre made some huge saves.

And on the the two goals that weren't called for Virginia. The one in the 2nd I couldn't tell on but the light went on and the ref waived it off. And the other in the 3rd was no doubt a high stick and the correct call.

the other one hit the pipe and came back. when virginia plays in hibbing, i think there will be a different outcome. hibbing had there chances. Anyone know the shots?
