Who are the top sophmore prospects

Post by siouxfan17 »

Are there any Sophmore forwards that should be watched closely for the next few years?

Well, you might look at the thread entitled: Sophomore scoring leaders for a starter.

Justin Kloos leads his team in scoring in a pretty tough conference.

Not sure it is all about points, topic is prospects, i see Morin from Breck comitted to CC, he has 21 points this year. Im sure there are many seniors with more points but not as highly thought of as a prospect.

I agree, wasnt talking about Kloos in particular, he is a great player, just referring to the fact it is not all about points.

Have you seen Steman play? Just curious about him, as the rest of these guys are playing (and most starring) for their respective varsity programs.

I have seen all of the Sophomores on my top 10 list play this year. Steman transfered to Maple Grove and can only play JV this year. I have seen Maple Grove play 6 times this year and usually catch the end of the JV games, I believe he would be Maple Grove's best player on Varsity, better then Horton. Steman is the most complete of Maple Grove's very talented 10th grade class including: Steman, Paulson, Bell, Freburg, Wolden, Aspinwall, Koop, Mason, and Shafer.

A few other very good Sophomores worth mentioning.

Halverson Wayzata
Opperman Breck
Torrel Monticello
Iverson Breck
Walker Edina

Ben Walker - Edina - getting a lot of playing time and doing well
Kyle Krueger - Prior Lake - Lots of ice and the team appears to be playing better
Mike Reilly - AHA - appears to be playing better as of late.

Mitch Morissette and RJ Majkosak for WBL are mentionables. Remarkable step up when others are suspended. They will be something to watch...quite frankly have been for the last couple of years..... =D>

Not to put the kid down at all, I am sure he's a quality player, but who is he beating out for the points lead at SLP? Just saying that doesn't convince me he's a top sophomore in the state.
Stay Classy, Minnesota.

Nobody but hey when you don't have that much help around you sometimes points are hard to come by. Very good player stands out on his team and gets alot of ice.

Hayden Timm of Warroad, he isn't a household name, but has shown charisma and could be a potential WCHA player.
